Update on Mr Bloo and his new activities

Bloo is a fantastic trickster ive been teaching him all sorts from a tiny pup.
First he started at his obedience and has passed all good citizen awards :)
Then we advanced to agility at around 1 year old where he was out standing at his jump waits left rights see saw tunnel curved and weaves :) But then he started being naughty so I decided to just do it for fun in my spare time.
NOW im working on his obedience more and am looking into htm. He can:
Sit both side and front, and sit from a distance
Lie down both side and front, and from a distance
Shake a paw
Play dead
Stay for 3 minutes (sit and walk away back turned)
Turn left and turn right both on spot and whilst in heel
Heelwork close (routine of heel sit I walk away and leave him in stay, return to pick him up and carry on heel)
Heel round legs closed
Recall to side (agility recall)
Weave between legs both standing and walking! :D
Walk backwards both in front and at side with me
Jump over my arms out stretched
Run out around objects and do figure 8 between 2

And his new trick he has learnt....Stand up! I say 'up' and throw my hands up and he stands on his back legs!!! :D :D

The only problem I have is I cannot let him off lead when there are other dogs around due to him being extremely unpredictable at times
BUT I am working on this recall and am seriously considering entering some htm and obedience classes!!! I really want to do something for him as well as he enjoys working so much!

I have done 2 routines with Bloo which I MUST record and upload onto Facebook! Keep checking it out!

That is great Sam! :D

But I have one question...what is htm??
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Ok, so now I feel useless... All this from a teen!!! How AWESOME is this!?! Most adults probably don't do half of what Sam has done - include my lazy butt in that half!

Rest assured; whatever HTM is, Sam will nail it with Bloo!!!

Way to go Sam! Keep it up and be sure to post videos!!!

Vance
That's great, inspires me to do more tricks with Monty.
I bet the obedience will help with his agility for later on.
Would love to see videos.
Htm is heelwork to music ;)
I want to show people sheepies CAN do all this ''border collie'' stuff!

We both enjoy working together so much! Bloo picks things up so easy :) He is currently learning to walk bsckwards around my legs and weavr backwards ;) haha

WOW, you have a great rapport with Bloo that you can teach him all these stunts. I was going to mention that he would be awesome in a dance class like the recent video that someone posted.

Definitely go for it, I'd love to watch his (and your) progress  A vid of him doing some of his learned tricks would be fun now(hint!)

Wow Team Bloo! Can't wait to see a video!
Sprocket is jealous-he would like to have a "move shoes around the house contest" he would win that one easy. Well done-just goes to show that sheepys do have brains-3 trainers I have been too recon they don't. I am "haltie training" at the moment-have halti on and a lead attached one end to the halti (as back up) and the other end to the collar as a normal walk. Been "discovered I have 5 worn'sliped discs so can't have Sprocket suddenly decideding he wants to chase a sparrow or leaf. xx

Oh Bloo sure isn't perfect! I also have to walk him on a halti and a collar and keep him really close because he just pulls my arm off else! He does the opposite though and tends to slip him collar, hes scared of lawn mowers, for sale signs and big wagons...but he will cgase joggers, cats and other dogs...
Definitely sounds like he is being sneaky!

Luckily I just have to have Archie on a normal collar and lead.

On another note - Archie has always walked backwards from very early on, I was thinking of fitting a reversing beeper on him.
It's strange how sheepys walk backwards,Sprocket does and so does his brother Dougal (unless they are in the food cupboard that is). They seem to not be able to move at all then!!
