Storm in St Louis too!!!

Everyone keep Val, Judi and all the other Sheepie folk in and around St. Louis. They're looking to get hammered by a huge storm complete with a tornado.

Post if you can to let us know how you fared.

thinking of you guys! Stay safe!
Thanks Allison and Vance....The tornado sirens were going crazy about an hour ago. The storms have been very scary, the winds strong.

Kirkwood, where Judi lives also got hit with the strong winds and storms. But no damage reported.

Just heard that the Hollywood Casino, in Earth City had part of their roof ripped off. No one was hurt. And the Holiday Inn in earth city was damaged. Don't know if there are any injuries there. They also had a lockdown at Lambert Airport due to strong winds. (A couple of years ago, a storm came through and blasted many of those HUGE windows at the airport... Thank goodnes it is almost over....STILL thinking of Dawn and Chewie...As long as they stay in the shelter, hopefully they will stay safe...Thanks for caring about us in the LOU....... :ghug:

So that is the weather report from St.Lou....
Dawn was actually out of the shelter about 45 minutes ago so things have lightened up a bit for them.

Glad to hear you're all ok!!!

Vance
Who is it who lives in OKC........can't remember......... :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: With power out in many areas, may not hear for awhile.
I was born and raised in OKC, though I don't live there now. Most of our family is still there.
The original path would have taken the tornado through the downtown area. I hate to say it is fortunate that it changed direction, because South OKC/Moore got it again.
An idiot TV "meteorologist" told people in the path to get underground or leave and go south - which turned out to be directly in the new path of the tornado.
Fortunately, all my family members are safe.

My husband's family is from St Louis, as is my future d-I-l and her family. We have been in contact with them also.
I wasn't going to say anything about that meteorologist, but yeah, I watched him saying that and immediately though 8O 8O 8O :twitch: :twitch: There is no predicting where those things will go and yes, this one(s) turned several times. Plus imagine several thousand on the road at one time, gridlock and no place to go!

I'm glad your family is safe.

St. Louis.......what a shame. Is that area ever NOT under flood warnings? Guess that's why everything is so green and lush.
Glad all is well in St. Louis! Praying for all in Oklahoma!
Sending prayers. The weather channel has been on in my house all day and I see you are still having storms. Hope everyone is safe...
I heard about St Louis area when we were in the shelter in South OKC...and then double checked in the morning with some people from St Louis who were out volunteering in Moore. I saw their group's t-shirts and ran over w/ Chewie to ask them!
