Occasional diarrhea

Hello...we have a 6mth old girl OES, and for some reason, she will have occasional diarrhea. Her morning poops can go from 'normal' to normal-then end with diarrhea. We have gone the chicken and rice route, which temporarily takes care of it, but then she gets tired of the flavor...and any dog gravy we add, gives her diarrhea. We feed her Blue Buffalo puppy food, and it's a high quality food. We've had to test out treats for her...to see which ones give her the runs, and which don't. She's healthy in all other regards...still eats, drinks, has huge amounts of energy...so she's not lethargic and sick. Do I just have a dog with a sensitive stomach, and will she ever outgrow it with time? Am I the only one with a special girl ;)
Thanks!!

This happens occasionally. It is normal for the last bit they seem to squeeze out to be softer or runnier. The longer the food is in their digestive tract the more solid it will be. My lines have never done well on the chicken & rice formulas. Also remember a puppy will eat about anything that doesn't eat it first when outside. So if she is getting into dirt or bushes or leaves of plants, that could be upsetting her digestion. I use ProPlan Shredded Blend Lamb & Rice for 2 of my dogs & ProPlan Sensitive Skin & Stomach for my other 2. I have had very good luck with both formulas but I would suggest the Sensitive Skin & Stomach if you are have reocurring bouts of soft stool. At 6 months she is plenty old enough to go onto adult food. My last 2 puppies have eaten adult food from the time they were weaned. Another thing you might consider for occassional use is a good probiotic. I keep Purina FortiFlora on hand for when I start to see soft stool. Just sprinkle it on their food & it generally starts to help within a day. And another thing that works is canned pumkin. Not the pie filling, just plain pumpkin. Cut back a bit on her kibble & add some canned pumpkin. Something about the pectin in it helps coat the tummy & intestinal tract & slow things down. I try all these options before hitting the meds unless I see they are REALLY sick as in lethargic. Make sure she has access to water so she doesn't get dehydrated.
Thank you sooooo much!!!! I will definitely try all those options!! I appreciate your response!!
