Is anyone working today???

Okay, I know I have work to do, and am not doing it...Why are there so many people on right now???? Who's doing what?

I'm sick. I'm not working. If I lie down, I cough. So, here I am!
Well, I'm at the office, but technically I'm not working. Unless, of course, posting on the forum counts!
I'm off for the summer. Woohoo!!!
I'm at work but hanging out here for Belle updates. Plus I feel likelooking at sheepie pictures.
I just took a break from work to see what was happening in "sheepie acres". I've had a LOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG day and it isn't over. Somehow I got overbooked with patients today and will never get the paperwork caught up.

Have a "dog and pony show" here tomorrow when the big wigs from the hospital come with several local cardiologists to "check out my program". My desk is supposed to be neat and tidy and the gym should be looking alot better than it does right now!!! Life would be so much easier without the "big wigs"

Why can't I win the Lottery???????? Oh yea, ya gotta buy a ticket first!
I'm still home from my back surgery, but even when I am at work, I check a few times a day, too!
Chris
I'm 'working' too!
Just not a lot of documents today to proofread!
In between drawing kitchens, I keep checking the site....my boss is between yelling at me and laughing at me....good thing he loves me!!! :D
Stay at home mommy, technically working right  but they do their own thing. Nothing else to do except clean the house, make something for supper, do laundry, clean, clean, clean...this is way more fun.
I am with Daisie on this one.....Stay at home Mommy of 2 uprights, 2 sheepies, and so many Ragdolls, I have now lost count....LOL My house is clean, the dogs are walked, the litter boxes are clean, the laundry is MOSTLY clean, the kids are clean.....now who is going to fix me dinner? Is the work of a Mom ever done? :? :D Ahhh, who am I kidding, even after almost 8 years, I wouldn't change a thing.
My twin sister is a stay home mom and I tell her all the time, her job is way harder than mine. When I visit for our birthdays', I stay for a long weekend and let me tell you, home never looks better!! I only have one sheepie and a husband...his kids are grown...but on the downside, the house is never is clean as I would like...Im too unmotivated by the time I get home....
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my kids. My parents "kidnapped" them and took them to Tennessee. They were supposed to go to Virginia with them, but they called earlier today, and said they were bringing the kids home because they were getting restless. LOL Then, they're going to turn around and start over. I don't know whether to be happy to have my kiddos back or to be horrified at how they must of acted. They were in Gatlinburg, so they had to of been pretty bad! I guess being trapped in a car for most of the day for 3 straight days will do that to 2 & 4 year olds. I told my parents it wasn't a good idea when they said they were taking them, but they didn't listen..... I know how my kids are on car trips too well! lol So, my "vacation" (more like cleaning out their closets & toys while I had the chance to) will be over in less than a hour. I'll be sooo glad to get my boys back - I haven't seen them since Saturday!

I'm a SAHM and my house is never as clean as I'd like it to be either. My kids are constantly behind me dragging toys out from where I have cleaned. I always said my house would be spotless, and it's anything but! lol It was an adjustment, but I've learned to live with the fact that it can't be perfect while they're still toddlers... lol
I can just imagine a clean house, as soon as I clean something the kids discover "new" toys, that were hiding under the bed. And the cycle repeats...I use to be a clean freak, and now I've given up the fight, I keep thinking when both are in school, I will once again have a clean house.

I am so jealous you have parents willing to give it a try, yea for them. Hubby and I come from divorced parents, and that means no one can take the kids for even a day. My parents live too far away, and his parents are always busy, it's hard for them I suppose...but I feel my kids are being cheated on having "typical" grandparents. Give them a big hug for trying.

Perhaps Disney Land/World would be a better choice
Gail....Lisa says (my twin) its not so bad anymore, the kids are 11 and 9, boys...they do help..But the ruckus that those two create....wow!! I love coming home to my quiet and dusty house :D Actually, its the wood floors that drive me crazy...they're dark...and you see EVERY paw print and dusty shoe prints...sigh..
I'm with you stay at homes, no matter how much I pick up someone is behind me playing with more stuff. And is it me - or can kids fight about anything?? We're only on our 3rd day of summer here and it's been crazy!! Although, in their defense they have had cabin fever because it's been raining for 2 days. Alas, I wouldn't change the chaos for a thing!! I'm sure the time will come when I'll have a peaceful home??

When I say my house is CLEAN, does that really have to mean dusting too? :? I hate dusting, that is the worst thing to do in cleaning. I sneeze for a couple of days afterwards.
I also don't do windows, doors, or mirrors very often anymore. I have learned that when I do wash windows and doors to do the outside FIRST. If not, I will have nicely clean inside door or window, and then I go outside to finish it up. As I am cleaning the outside, I have either a slimy hand come up, or a big bulb nose to smear, or a cat paw to come christen my newly clean door before I even finish. So, if and when anyone visits my house, you will not be able to see out, due to smearing, but only on the bottom 3 feet of our doors and windows. There will also be dust, but hey a half of an inch isn't TOO bad......LOL My floors are vacuumed, my floors are mopped, the umpteen litter boxes are changed and smelling fresh, and for the most part the toys are picked up after they are played with, or in my sons case, hidden in every nook and cranny he could find in his room.
I have decided that the cleaning fairy that I wait for, must be allergic to cats!!

I'm trying to get use to having to clean again. When I had the dogs, they swept the carpets as they looked for crumbs, mopped the kitchen as they slid through the room to go outside, washed the tables with those big tongues, and covered any remaining dirt on the floors with their hair.

Haven't had to buy curtains for the garage in 15 years. Figured if I can't see out, no one can see in, except when "someone" cleaned it with their nose.

Thought my basement had shag carpet, but found out when the dogs left, it was black, silver, grey and white dog hair instead.

I work hard trying to get out of this chair. Does anyone have a good set of reclining, swivel, coaster dining room chairs to send me? Without all my dogs, mine seem to be getting flat, worn, and have a new "fanny" design on them.
clean? with 6 long haired and some slobbery dogs? a dream indeed!

Dust bunnies are more like jack rabbits wrapped in dog hair.

Shampooed hall carpet yesterday hopefully removing last dog vomit spot. Today 8 muddy paws reminded me why I should have never selected beige berber for hall.

Kitchen: dog feeding station, several dogs who fling drool, shake mud, etc. DARCY...........do you design kitchens with such beasts in mind?

Desert living, lots of open barren ground with horse corrals, wind, evaporative cooling needs some open windows = who needs note pads when one has a dusty buffet?
DUST: Arggghhh...the ultimate in defeat for any housecleaner, we have had road construction in our neighbourhood for the past two years...at least they covered the burm (hill) with weeds, to keep the dirt from flying freely.

My kids love a clean mirror, for some reason if I leave it dirty they leave it alone, as soon as it's clean they find something in mere secs to make it dirty again.

We too have beige carpets...in a dalmation spot print...pee, vomit, crayon, juice, milk, mud, and coffee is the special mixture one needs to acheive the look, and if you think spot remover will help. hahaha
Dasie,

The old carpeting in the bedrooms needs to be remanufactured! It is perfect for us. It is multi height loop in beige, brown, grey and gold....Dalmation print. It hides everything! Alas, it was also in the hall but got mushed into nothingness plus the seams started lifting, etc.

I keep thinking if I wait long enough it will return to fashion..........hasn't yet.
I'm working all day :( Not very hard though :D
I'm bored... and too sick to do anything about it.... so I thought I'd post my little whine here...lol... so what is everyone doing today? As for me, sitting on my butt a lot...
Soooooooooo sorry yo are sick!!!! Is there anyone to make you some chicken soup???????

FEEL BETTER SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ginny, Tasker, and Ty
Sorry you're not feeling well! :( Hopefully you'll be better soon. :D

I'm actually working today...well...mostly  ...because I'm only going to be here today and 1/2 day tomorrow, so I've got to get everything done that needs doing...LOL.

Tomorrow I'm going to pick up my new girl, Genevieve!! I'm soooo excited!! Beaureguard and I are driving to Tennessee tomorrow aftn and picking her up on Thursday morning! YIPPEE!!
