Help decide on a name for our new...

....4 legged pup :)

He comes to us in 2 weeks. I will be going to pick him up in California. The kids get to ultimately decide and they have narrowed it down to 3 ...but each time they ALL vote for something different. Curious to what everyone else thinks.

1. lamborghini - will be called Lambo
2. ferrari - will be called Arie (Are-Ree)
3. maserati - will be called Mazi

He's an Italian baby, and the theme so far for this litter has been cars, so we're sticking to the theme. The wonderful breeder is presently calling him Bentley (which is great but not Italian).

My new fav is Mazi (originally it was me who wanted Arie)
Mr. J loves Lambo
Jillybear like Arie
Li-Li says ME ...for all of them.
Boys like all of them ...changes hourly

Pics of our lagotto romagnolo if it helps. He was supposed to be a show dog (daddy has more international wins than any other lagotto) and they've had several people evaluate him but I am thankful that he was let go to me as a HUGE favor to another friend (and lots of begging) ...and their trust that he's going to a good home. I'm extremely grateful.

How about calling him Ferrari, but his call name be Enzo (after Enzo Ferrari). He is scrumptious, whatever you end up calling him! :hearts:
Mr J suggested the same thing. :)
I'm one to agonize for weeks on names, so no off the cuff names.

Those eyes :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: Bello
He is gorgeous no matter the name, congrats!!!
Benito.........and I do love Italian cars, so I'm with Enzo. Lambo is my last choice. 50:50 on the other two.
No suggestions, but I had to make note of those fantastic eyes.
3 of the kids don't like Enzo. ...but daddy still thinks it's cool.

I'm pretty sure it will be one of the three. If we keep throwing in names, the kids throw in more names... since we went from "Moo Moo Lion" to... the three above... I say they are doing GREATTTTTTT!!!
OMG! I've only met one and he was a ball of energy!!! He was also very sweet and adorable!!! I like Arie! Gotta update us alot!!!!
Cute, cute, cute!

I like Lamborghini, but Lambo makes me think of Lambeau Field, so unless you are Green Bay Packer fans, Lambo might be tough.

I like Alfa Romeo. You could call him Alfa (alpha 8) ) or Romeo, and instead of pronouncing it like the car, you could pronounce it like the character in Shakespeare's play. Since all the ladies will love this puppy, Romeo could work!

What about Fiat? Fifi for short? Ok, ok, I know it's a boy.

Whatever you call the little bugger, he sure is cute!

Laurie and Oscar
I vote for Enzo and Ferrari as well.

I do like Mazi too. He is adorable! :hearts:
no help from me...but I would call him precious.....cuz he is!!!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
I like Alfa too!!! Enzo is cute but Alfa is definitely much more unique.
:aww: He's so cute!
And nothing could be more italien than the Ferrari - Arie....hmm
I think Alfie could be a cute name on that little curly fellow. :D
Don't name him Alfa!!! With the history of the Alfa Romeos, you have to stop and pick it up every thirty feet and you'll be at the Vet once a week. (Alfa cars were never know for their stamina or reliability. Although, the color of the dog suits the brand of car - rusty brown.

My vote would be for Mazi. The Quattroporto rules!!!

That's any Italian car. They're all junk.

And Mrs J,
You forgot another Italian nameplate; Lancia (pronounced LON-chee-a)
ricci marrone 8)
I vote for Arie. Not only is it short for Ferrari, Arie Luyendyk (who unfortunately happens to be Dutch, not Italian) won the Indy 500 in 1990. Anyway, being May, we Hoosiers tend to be focused on the Indy 500. :go:

Okay, this year it's the Pacers vs. Knicks, too. But that's another story. :potstir:

:phew: If not junk - my mom had two Fiats and my first car was one Fiat Regata Weekend
- at least they were Tony's (the mecanics) favorite. :?

Which made me remember that my parents named all their cares Perceval!
Thats a great name. Their first car was an Ifa (a two-stroke motor) it never let us down.
Then they got a Wolksvagen, Bubble, also named Perceval:
That car started in the winter when other cars didn't and with small engine and
big Wheel, nothing stopped it - my father always got to work, when nobody else didn't.
Perceval not much Italien, but very funny name, reliably and faithful. :roses:

Perceval if you like it. :go:
Cute :) Congrats! I know how long you've been wanting to do this :)

I like Mazerati but better for a girl I think... don't like Lambo at all but I do like Enzo or Romeo :) I think Enzo suits him really.
I really can't do Enzo....as all I can think of is Enzo from the book "The Art of Racing in the Rain" - Garth Stein. And if you haven't read it - I recommend it! Enzo the dog is the narrator, and it's quite emotional.
Just for the record... Enzo is not in consideration. Boys didn't like it once they heard it (momma didn't say anything but she didn't either) ;)

lil J just made a scrapbook for cubscouts and he wrote down lambo for the new puppy's pic.

his brother made one, and he put mazi for the pup's name.
Out of the choices, I like Mazi also. What a cutie!

Cindy
Ferrari, and call him Fezza. Second choice would be Lambo.
I would have a Ferrari type name as I like the colour red. When we ask Husband to name anything it is always "Fred". That is why our last sheepy was Fred. Our daughter is expecting their first child-the bump is Fred.x
lol, love the Fred story. :)
i like lambo...
reasons:
every sheepie needs his/her own lamb

the nickname lamby is just too cute

since lamborgini's have such a strong engine noise, while your training him, you can use vrooming noises to get his attention

:)
Well I'm glad you like it.... because last night while outside skateboarding... the kids ALL said they want Lambo. Was out of the blue... Li-Li said she wanted Elmo... but we knew what she was trying to say ;)
I said I wouldn't disagree w/anything they chose... and I didn't. While they were still outside, I emailed the breeder and said it's settled!! Start calling him Lambo!

Not 100% on his registered name.. I think it'll be Countach (koon-tash ...one of the first lamborghinis and it means "“Oh my Gosh!” or “Look at that!”) and then his call name is Lambo.

I like it too the more I say it. She said Mazi (our other choice) is too serious for some a happy go lucky, everything rolls right off type of dog - his personality she says). Plus his hair is just like a lamb.
If anyone wants to name their pup after a motorcycle -- Ducati is a cute name. I'd call him Duke.
No matter what you name him--he is adorable!! :hearts:
11 more days... it's all i can think about
Are you flying out and bringing him, or does he fly alone?
I have to go get him. Leaving at 3 in the morning and coming back that night. I can't sleep thinking about my trip!! (1 stop for dog, first flight 1hr 45 ...second 2hr 30)
Oh, how exciting!!

How long between the flight out and back? Hope you get a bit of time to play with the dogs, etc.
I like lamborghini - "Borgie" - or Gini (genie) /Gino (G-no) :-)
Or Borghese (Bore-Gayce) = a variation meaning beauty

He looks like a "Louis Vuitton" to me with that beautiful brown and those eyes - Hardly an Italian name though and definitely not a car, but costs almost as much...LOL :-D
