Intelligent Eating

We had 2 littermate kittens we rescued for 12 years. They were indoor only cats; knew there were monster the other side of the threshold. No matter what you do you get occasional insects in the house, especially in Texas. The cats figured out very quickly which bugs were edible, which to play with only and which to avoid. They would play with a cricket and eventually eat it. A wasp or hornet was completely ignored as was a black stink bug. Some spiders were tasty.

Dex and Winston eat anything and everything but found early in life the best thing to do with all bugs is to ignore them. Mom can squeal and say "Bug!" They will come running, see that it is a bug and walk away. One bite of a stink bug can do that to a guy.
