Jaxson is 105 lbs

I posted in the medical thread since we took him to the vet for an ear infection or yeast infection. Since this is a brag thread....I cant believe a year ago he was 87 and today 105 lbs. He is a big boy and very healthy.

Boy, he is a big boy! Funny how not that long ago, Dahlia was the bigger one! She is a "slender" 84.5lbs. Jax has really filled out!
:wag:
You can say that again. I think filled out is an understatement...lol. Are there a lot of 100+ sheepies out there? He is his own version of Clifford.
Yep he sure is a big boy! My dog Winston was 101 at his peak. Have to say those big guys seem to have worse/earlier hip problems than the typical sized ones in my experience. My others have been between about 60 and 90 pounds.

One that I rescued and rehomed with a friend is the biggest OES I've ever seen - I will have to ask her how much he weighs now. I won't be surprised if she says 120.
Well lets hope my boy wont have hip issues.
dreamer is 110 but he is a very tall big boy
Jaxson certainly has grown up!!! I remember when Jax, Dalhia and Charm were all puppies together. How much fun to watch them grow and gain!!! And all the advice and support for each other. Charm weighs 70 lbs.

Where did our puppies go?? :wag:

He's a big boy, almost as heavy as Buster our Newfy who is 115 pounds.
For our dogs to help reduce the likely hood of hip problems, we have built a ramp that comes off our deck instead of them using the steps.
We don't allow them in the basement, just on the main floor.
Buster has a ramp to get into the SUV.
We keep both dogs ribby, no fat on our guys, so less weight on their hips.
Prevention is better than cure.....hope it works for us.
Well, I was wondering why this was in the brag section. I find it more concerning, personally :(
I hope he's OK.
Dawn, the brag part was he was 105 lbs. the rest of this thread simply evolved.
Oscar is a svelte 105 lbs. He's just "big boned"! :D Joking aside, for his height and bone structure, my vets think 103 lbs is ideal, so his current weight is right where they want him to be. Before Oscar was diagnosed as hypothyroid, he got up to 118 lbs. 8O Thank God for thyroid meds!

Some OES are just big, but not overweight, and Oscaroo is one of them. Hubby calls him "our little boy". :D
