Dawn, lamb update?????

I've been wondering about Dawn's lambs too  |
| Don't feel forgotten - no lambs yet!! With the bad drought we had last year, and being forced to feed hay (expensive) from June on...we were forced to sell a lot of our flock. We kept back just 9 ewes.  Then it was our year to get a new flock ram. We use each ram 2 years, then switch to a new one. Well, we ended up getting 2 of them from one of my sheep friends (we swap sheep often, in fact our past ram was from them also.) Turns out they were young boys...we weren't even sure they were big and manly enough to do the deed! Usually we use only 1 ram, but Todd was afraid we would get no lambs, so he put BOTH of them out w/ the ewes.  I was just looking them over yesterday, and some of them are getting round Sheep gestate 5 months, so they would be due at the soonest the end of April. But ewes cycle every 20 days...so it could be up to 3 weeks after that when the 1st ones are born, depending on where they were at in their heat cycle. But yes, I will happily be posting photos when the time comes!! And a teaser from last year -  |
| Now we're all on "lamb watch." We must all have the same thing in mind because I was thinking about Stephanie and Francis and how are the doing? Ok, I admit when the Pope took the name Francis, I started wondering about Francis and his Mom. |
