Two Old English Sheepdogs desperately need a home, even foster would be welcome to give more time to find a permanent placing. The pair are siblings, 1 male, 1 female, both are neutered.
They are in Hereford at the moment but transport can be sorted. They will be putdown on the 27th of this month, that is 5 days time if a home cannot be found. Owner deceased and son unable to cope and moving house. Dogs living at present with older person with dememtia. Vet has stated both dogs are in A1 condition for their age (9 years) , the bitch has sensitive stomach and so low fat food advisable. Information says the pair would do better to go together and I know this is a big ask.
Temperaments reported as good. Have lived with other dogs.
OES rescue are unresponsive and tell me they "do not have the resources". I will advertise on Oldies Register but time is running out

I contacted the http://oesrescueofcolorado.org/
and they have no info on these dogs. We are looking for just this pair
after losing our two deaf boys to old age. Our remaining 7 year old girl
would love to have elder babies to play & take care of again.

I do not do Facebook so I cannot find where this post is. We are in North
Texas and it would be a long shot no doubt, but if anyone has any ideas
how we can save these babies, I will come back & leave my email. I cannot
stand the thought of these dogs lives being taken because no one can get to
them.

Thank you :)
I see UK in the title of this thread.
I assumed the dogs are in Great Britain. Is that not a correct assumption?
Yes, I doubled checked because there is a Hereford in Colorado, in Texas and in England.
One of the Colorado OES Rescue members was getting ready to gas his car up to get the dogs when he saw the answer to my question.
I put the UK in the title, in hopes some of our UK posters would see it.
I'm sorry for the mix up...I just got upset & read too fast :(
Thank you for the correct info :)

My heart breaks for every baby in need and you people on this
Forum do so much to help all that you can. God bless you.
I am in the uk. Can I have some details
If you can post a link to the original post we can try and get one of the local UK rescue's to help. Thanks Debs
If you go to the Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Colorado facebook page, it's the latest post.
I copied what they had posted and it is all in the original post.
Do a search for Geraldine Cove-Print on facebook - she is the contact person.
What I can gather. these two are safe & both have found a home. Best thing is that they are together as well
That would be the best possible outcome for them.
I heard they had been helped by an oes rescue and are staying together :clappurple:
