Tooth pain (human)

I had a temporary crown put on last Monday. The pain started yesterday. It goes away with 3 Motrin. Does anyone know if this is normal? I don't go back until April 2nd. Should I call the dentist Monday or wait it out?

Sounds like infection, call doc asap. You shouldn't have any pain
with a crown, temp or not. Slight irritation, but not real pain. I
really feel for you though. I am having some serious bone loss
in my jaw and I am having another molar out Tues morning. Can't
wait! 8O Good luck

Toothache is just about the worse thing. Shouldn't be having pain with crowns, sometimes they feel a bit alien. I should get in to see dentist.
My hubby has had toothache since Friday morning we phoned our dentist and he had Friday off! Hubby wont go to emergency dentist as last time they wouldn't do anything because of all the meds he is on...dentist tomorrow morning for sure...
Well for breakfast this morning I had some pancakes. While chewing I felt something odd.
My crown fell off. Darn it.
Hopefully I can wait and call the dentist tomorrow.

oh no..not the best start to the day :( :(
I just went through this, it sucks. Mine was painful because it was a shade too high so was causing extra pressure. But if they have killed the root it shouldn't be feeling pain anymore.
Lisa, there is a product sold in the toothcare aisle of the drugstore that is for sticking crowns back on temporarily. I'd use that until you can see the dentist. Do NOT do as my father did and use Krazy Glue. You could also call your dentist's office and see if they have a number to call in case of emergency.
I was going to recommend the temp glue sold in the stores as well. After every root canal or crown I have a toothache for a week or so, lovely. Throbbing pain sounds more like an infection and need antibitotics......your dentist should have an emergency number to call. I got mine out of a basketball game when he forgot to prescribe antibiotics after a crown....last time I went to him.
yes there is also it comes with this stuff what takes the pain away
Tooth pain has to be one of the worst feelings as it is so sharp!
