Anti Freeze

I took Archie up on the Downs yesterday, I should have suspected something was amiss, no livestock at all, no other dogs, no other humans whatsoever!

The ground was frozen solid - which is good for lack of muddy feet :wag:

Archie really enjoyed an hour with total free reign plenty to sniff some out of sun snow to eat! running around like crazy bounding back to me doing the flying snapping lunges of joy he had a great old time. :wag: :wag: :wag:

Me even with my thermal hat and gloves on, trying to keep my extremities out of the severely raw wind I lost the feeling in my fingers and my face and head. :!:

Archie insisted in facing into the wind where he could????

When we got back to the car his beard was part frozen :twitch:

Happy as Larry he got back into the car having fun, his beard melted :x it was warmer when we got back down to town then what did the daft animal want to do :lmt: yes you got it sit out in the garden even here it was -4ºC and insist that the side door was open

Do they have Anti Freeze in place of blood :lmt:

It is so much warmer today :yay: +2ºC............

You are such a good Mom

I"m shivering just thinking about the partially FROZEN beard 8O 8O 8O
LOL - I had to laugh at the frozen beard. That is normal every single day for FIVE MONTHS here in Minnesota!!

We are still waiting for days with the HIGH temp to get above freezing ;)
Yeah, Maudie was a real polar bear......she hated to be indoors! She wanted to be outside with her buddies the St.B and Siberian. She kept telling me she was really an Alpine Sheepdog, far distant relative of the Yeti. Some just love the cold.
I think dogs and horses are happiest when it's cold. Even my old horse gets his crazy legs on when it's cold and the ground is prime for running.
Yep, all my sheepdogs have loved the cold and snow.

My husband got Maudie as a high school graduation present. <shakes head at the bad idea> She lived outside, with a St Bernard. Every year, her beard would be green in the summer and frozen in the Winter. She also like to give the bees a ride in her mouth (his mother was a beekeeper). Fortuantely, she was only outside for two years, until we married and she came inside for good. Best dog ever!
Yes your shuch a good Mom & I hope i did not get too cold up your skirt :).
 Yes, I think so, they have Anti Freeze in place of blood.
And a very thick and warm coat. :yay:
