Rescue foster/adoption update

So a couple of weeks I was happy to share that Daria found a new home with us! http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40100 Sadly she has arthritis and was unable to handle our wood staircase. We wanted to keep her but sadly could not. Great news is that she is amazing dog that probably just needs some supplements and needs a house with carpeted stairs or no stairs. If she ever needs surgery NEOSR has offered to pay for the surgeries!! :yay: When we brought Daria back she took on her name originally form the rescue, Harley.

You're probably going to think we're crazy but we ended up leaving with another foster dog. With whom we have also fallen in love with. He is closer to Chowder's age and they play non-stop. There are some issues but I'll post them in behaviors. He's just awesome. We thank Cindy Username 4dognight for everything

Here is big boy Mickey (he's on a diet and already lost 5 lbs, down to 87)

That photo with Chowder is just priceless!!!

:hearts: :hearts:

Good luck with this lucky boy. :cheer:
I'm glad Mick has a home!!
He looks like he has decided that he 'belongs' with you! Love the picture with Chowder- :hearts:
Congratulations to you and Mickey. He has such soulful eyes, and looks to have settled right in comfortably.

Cute pictures of them, I must ask~~where do you sleep????
The dogs are allowed to cuddle for a bit but its the floor for actual sleeping.

The other day chowder went to camp and Mickey stayed home. He cried for 1/2 an hour. They are in love. They kiss each others faces all the time! It's so sweet
so glad to hear you have a match more pics please
They make a very sweet pair, glad it's working out!
More pics... that's easy! I'm so in love with these two.

Mommy, what are you doing in the basement?

This one is hard to see but there are two heads in the window trying to see where I'm going.

Who can get closer to mommy on the couch? It's become a daily event.

Their first night together. VERY quiet playing

A few nights later they were so tired from all day everyday but they couldn't stop. Must keep playing...
this looks like an adoption made in heaven!!!!!!!
They are such an adorable pair. How wonderful that you found each other :hearts:
 Loved watching the sheepie movies!
That is my favorite look for a sheepdog... adorable shaggy cuteness

I wonder if it will work a third time... more pics please, lol
now you don't ever have to watch t.v you have those 2 ..how much better to have 2 ??
It is sad his other family took him to a shelter....they had another dog but kept him. I am so happy mick found you and chowder. I always get dogs that people have a problem with and we never see one.....At least not one that deserved being dumped in a shelter. He must have been so sad, waiting for his family to come get him :( But a great family did :):):)
:hearts: :hearts: :aww: :aww:

How wonderful for all of you!

Cindy
I am so happy for you! He looks like the perfect brother for Chowder! YAY

Now, I am just waiting on that invitation to pop by to see the new addition

I am in your town about every other day, so now that it is lighter later, we should just pick an evening.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Shari your should pop your head in any day! Daria can't come yet. Mickey tested positive for Giardia. Luckily it has not been a big deal but both dogs are being treated and treatment ends Sunday. The fence should be back up in the next week or two. Then it's a 3 sheepie party.
oh crap he did?? he was in the shelter a couple days and was seen at the vets but no fecal done.....his ears were a big concern.....
His ears are clean and he has NO signs of Giardia. We just ran all the tests since we didn't know much about him. It's no big deal. We're treating them both just to be sure. They love because they get chicken stock with dinner to make sure they eat all the powder.
There is nothing as heart warming as watching two sheepies playing. We lost our big boy in November, and now our girl is lost. We have tried to keep her busy with play, human wrestling, and even a tread mill, but it's not the same.

So we're looking for an OES rescue that could fit the bill. We live in Alberta, Canada where OESs are very rare. Please keep us in mind if you become aware of any "youngish" OES that need a home. Our girl is 2 years, and is quite dominant, but gentle. So a shy or elderly dog would probably not be a good fit.

:wag:
Awwwww they look so happy together! love the photos and vids!
