Deviled eggs...please?!

Our hens are laying, and we have an egg surplus. Todd boiled up 1.5 dozen and made deviled eggs!
I'm not sure how Todd and I are going to eat all of them, but Bond has volunteered to help out!!
(They got kind of messed up when I took the wrap off...and now they look all pretty w/ their paprika on them.) :D

Yummmmmmy!! Our hens are laying too but our adult kids (who usually take home a dozen each) aren't coming to visit til much later in the month... so now I know what I'll be doing this weekend - thanks for the reminder!! :sidestep:
I love deviled eggs!

Doing your own version of Cool Hand Luke egg eating? I think you'll get through them with a few extras divided among the gang. Bond has a good nose.

The ladies telling you spring is coming?
Yep, the hens are saying it's heading toward spring. The standards are producing 4-5 per day, and the banties are hiding them somewhere......

 I remember that! Usually in the hen house floor, not the nesting boxes. If yours have more free reign...good luck. Dog will find them.
That is such a cute pic of Bond and the eggs do look delish. Maybe we should change from the Groundhog to watching the increase in egg production from the Hens instead, to predict Spring. Enjoy your bounty.

Count me in. I don't eat eggs unless they are deviled. Wish I could be there to help devour
I know how you can get rid of some of them, just send them over to me and I'll take care of them
Pass the plate this way, I'll have a few of those.
now I am hungry for deviled eggs :)
Yum! I think Bond is trying to tell you something...

Now I want devilled eggs!
It's going to be stinky in that house after all that egg consuming ...haha

I'm always in the mood for deviled eggs!
My Mom had banties and they were allowed free rein of the yard during the day.
Shame they didn't lay much. But why is the little rescue terrier cross so fat and doesn't she have a glossy coat!
Yep she'd found ALL the hiding spots and was eating 3 or 4 eggs a day plus her usual dog food. :cow:
She was a little glossy black sausage on legs.
From then on the banties stayed locked up 'til after they laid.
Our banties are total free range, just like our big chickens.
They like to lay up high - they fly up into the hayloft, the little buggers! Eventually, their stash is going to get exposed, as hay consumption continues. ;)
I guess not clipping wings is safer for a free range, but does lead to interesting egg hunt. The little girls were cute, but I still prefer the big girls.
