I am within driving distance of Calgary (ok, it's a 13h drive but I drive a TDI so its no biggie and just over one tank of gas) if there is anyway I can help transporting this fella to his forever home I would be willing to do so! He looks so lovely! I would love to know more about him  Amber, please let me know if there's anything I can do! |

| Amber, Did you find out anything? I feel very badly that I can't take him. I could maybe take him temporarily, but I have a new puppy coming and that wouldn't be fair to an old guy. Why do people do this? Ugh. |

| I just called and left her another message......we can't help if we can't make contact! Fingers crossed she has already found a home for him and that is why we are not hearing back or if not, she will be in touch with us. I will be devastated if this dog was euthanized when there are so many wonderful people willing to help. |
| I just found out that this dog has been taken by a rescue in my neck of the woods. Apparently it was quite the drama to get him from the owner and he was being kept in very unacceptable circumstances. He's got a tumour in his mouth and has injured his face trying to get out of the kennel he was being kept in. The good news is that somebody is taking care of him now. They are hoping they can address his medical problems and get him cleaned up even more this coming week. She only got him yesterday, so he's been in a kennel since she posted the ad over two weeks ago. Just thought I'd give you an update. Laura |
| Thanks for the update. ..the owner would not respond to our many calls and emails. People like this make me sick. I would love to stick her in a kennel for a couple of weeks! It is just so disheartening especially when so many were reaching out wanting to help. Was this an all breed rescue? I am just so happy the dog is in good hands. |
| Yes. It's an all breed rescue and I have been speaking with her on facebook. She thinks he might be palliative at this point but will know more once he sees the vet again on Tuesday. I am seriously thinking about taking him, but I lost my other OES only 8 mos ago and I am concerned about watching another dog fail. It was hard on me. Plus, I have a puppy coming in two weeks (which probably isn't an issue, it's just attention and expense.) I told her to contact me after Tuesday once he's seen the vet and we can set up a play date with my current dog. They should be fine together but the rescue isn't neutered so I don't know for sure. | Hi! We're 2 hour SE of Edmonton, and would love to hear more about this pup. I'm not sure if he would be a good fit with our dominant 2.5 year old, but I would be willing to help in any capacity. |
| He's now in a rescue and they are going to keep him there. He's got cancer and is palliative so since he's happy now, they figure it's best not to keep moving him around! Thank you, though! |
