Gracie's Book Club (tm)

Hi everyone! I'm Gracie and welcome to Gracie's Book Clubâ„¢! I thought I would raise the level of discussion on these forums with occasional reviews of books that should be of great interest to all sheepdogs! I had a hard time deciding what book to choose for my first review, but I decided on the book "What's a Dog For?" by John Homans, because it poses a question very dear to my heart and I'm sure, to all of my fellow sheepies.

Now to begin my review, I must say I was most intrigued by the cover, it had a crispness that made my teeth tingle, and the way it sat on my tongue was really refreshing to the palate! It left a slight aftertaste of oak with hints of juniper and fresh blueberries, I think from the ink which was sparse and not overdone. The book itself was not quite as good as the cover, it required a bit more effort to chew and digest the contents, they say not to judge a book by its cover, but maybe I really am just a CoverGirl! Overall it did make ideal February mid-afternoon fare, not too heavy as to ruin your appetite for dinner, but enough to keep you satisfied until after the dogpark. I give it 3 paws up! Best served with a Baconbone on the side.

A nice, honest review :high5:
Great review Gracie.

You are familiar with the don't judge a book from it's cover saying and honestly I thought that you were just a fun-loving beautiful face, to be admired and preserved in photographs. And now I see that you are all that and a true intellectual. I am very pleasantly surprised.

I look forward to future reviews on interesting sheepdog reads.
Thank you for the stellar review, dear Gracie!

So, I guess you prefer the actual written book and not the Kindle or Nook Version? :potstir:
:high5: Great job......what a silly question; "What's a Dog For?"
Good work Gracie, the Covergirl............. :clappurple: :go:
Joy think that what you did, was very good for all the dogs and their People.

Apparently, Gracie is not getting her fair share of the cheese
:lmt: Gracie, I have not tried any books ............ mobile phones, yes, prescription spectacles? If you like a little crunch definitely try those. The five pairs I had were lovely and crunchy. Plastic cooking utensils, nice and chewie.
But no I've not tried any books at all. Mmmm must keep it in mind for next time I'm feeling peckish.

My Mom has an ereader, whataya think would it be any good??
Love Tiggy :hearts:

That made me laugh this very snowy morning. :clappurple: Keep the reviews coming. Maybe you can even get a paid gig.
thank goodness Tonks and Luna have no interest in reading!
Now this made me laugh out loud. Thank you!!!
Thank you Gracie, Cloud here. My Mum asked me to thank you for that as she was having a very bad day and when I read this out to her she laughed a lot. I am not allowed books but I can eat all the bills I want. Love Cloud

That's a great idea Cloud! I know mommy and daddy are always unhappy with the 'damned bills' they always get, maybe I can help them out!
So Gracie, what book will you be reviewing next????

The suspense is killing me 8)
