Howly and Winston - New Best Buds

Winston and Howly Berry are best buds now. She is rough as a cob! Winston doesn't know quite what to do, he's no where near as rough with her as he is with Dexter but he's in love so.........

Dex intervenes once in a while as "Big Brother". It's tough with a deaf dog, shouting "knock it off" only works for one of the dogs getting carried away.

Great video!! We should all have so much fun every day ;-)
Looks like they have a great time playing together. Isn't love sweet.
Who's doing the growling, Howly? How frustrating for Dex being ignored. Love to watch dogs play, especially the fuzz butts!
Looks a lot like Chewie and Bond. It will be interesting to see how they do down the road.
I'm at home with my satellite connection, that one took a long time to load :(
Fun!

Howly is the verbal one.

Dexter is the self-appointed sheriff. He tends to sit back, watch and break it up when it starts to get too aggressive.

We think we figured out why Winston and Howly play so vigorously; Howly may be coming into season. This afternoon's play started including a lot of butt flaunting and some clumsy humping. We don't let them out of our sight!
I couldn't seem to view it, but I bet it was cute!
Isn't she just 6 months old? I seem to remember reading that, might be wrong. That would be really young for an OES to come in heat. Most are right around a year old - give or take a bit.
Six was an estimate. We think she is a bit older than that, she's almost as tall as Dex and Winston. We all assumed we had lots of time before her heat which is one reason we took her as a foster with Winston in the house.

She has a yeast infection in both ends, ears and other, maybe that is triggering some of the traits?
Yeast infection - oh yes! When the girls smell funny, it gets the boys all excited. One of our fellow therapy dogs had a UTI - Chewie was all interested in smelling her butt, where she had been sitting, at a visit a couple months ago. She's intact, but had been in heat just a few months before that....He did that when his sister Martha had a UTI, so I told her handler - sure enough, when she took Miley to the vet she had crystals and everything. :?
But will it make her act like she's coming in? She's nervous, pacing (not from the beginning with us), short tempered, won't eat, flaunts her butt at Winston and yesterday she started mounting Winston.

It's funny, she licks at Dexter's face and ears but bites at Winston's. She is definitely submissive to Dex and far from it with Winston. Winston isn't sure want to do with the moodiness, attention or raging hormones, in either himself or Howly.
