Howly Berry Part II

We picked Howly from Sheepiedogma tonight. She is a beautiful, wall-eyed young lady.

She met the boys in the garage, the closest to neutral ground we have. She tolerated facial sniffs and male impertinence for about 3 minutes then let them know there is a new sheriff in town. Neither boy had ever had anything put them in their place or be mean to them so they had no idea how to react at first. Dex decided avoidance was the best approach, Winston decided barking from a distance would work. Howly is deaf so she didn't mind Winston's approach at all. The boys definitely have an answer to the question of "are OES girls bitchy."

They finally settled in and had a good 3 dog romp in the back yard, taking turns being the lead dog though Howly periodically felt the need to remind the boys of who is in charge.

Right now Howly is at my feet on my left side, Winston on the right and Dex is safest near his mom.

We are all learning how to deal with a deaf dog.

A little more info. Winston is intact. So is Howly. Winston is not the sharpest tack in the box; he kept sniffing Howly's belly and couldn't figure out where her penis went. He hasn't been around very many girls.

Howly bonded with my wife right away.

We have windows nearly to the floor in the living room and a see-through fireplace to the den. Howly loves to be outside and likes to look through the long windows when she is inside. Then she sees my wife through the fireplace but can't get to her because she's in the fireplace! We will teach her how to figure it out.
SO ARE U KEEPING HER I BEEN OUT OF THE LOOP
Our intent is to just foster but you know how good intentions go.
