help!!! Itchy red scratchy and fur falling out.bare butt

I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with miss Sophie. She has decided to chew her butt/back. Fur is falling out, skin is red with tiny scabs. I have bathed her, groomed her, and still itching. She has never had this problem before. I rotate between dog foods, but always use the same foods. I haven't changed anything else that I can think of. I use Advantix for pests and have always. I got an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal shampoo to bath her this time. Still itching and still red. I'm just trying everything before I take her to the vet. Brother Beauford is fine through all this itching and fur loss.

We had an episode with Zeke just before Christmas- in fact the same
day Tucker died. He had fleas. I'd say ONE flea, but you know it's never
just one. He was on a flea/tick top spot stuff (can't remember which) and
we hadn't had any fleas in a very long time. I ended up having to shave him
that night, and I never saw a second flea. I flea combed him thoroughly, never
saw anything and I was even using my reading glasses. Zeke is just SO
ALLERGIC to fleas that it only took a couple bites. He was totally fine one day
and the next day he was freaking out and had a raw patch on his back end larger
than both my hands put together. I flea bathed him using lots and lots of water.
As I said, I had to shave him he was just such a mess. I treated the area with
neosporin and a touch of cortizone for the first few days. I bathed him every 6 days
for about a month and by the beginning of the third week he had a nice patch
of fuzz starting where he had only had bloody scabbing.
I never expected fleas since we were using the monthly stuff, but I think they
become resistant to it. I also spoke to most of my neighbors who all said this
has been their worst year for fleas that they can remember. I have also heard
around here that there are a lot of cases of lice going around. (I know nothing
about lice in dogs though)
I hope it isn't fleas - just because they are such a pain in the butt to get rid of.
Like I said though, even if you never see any it could still be fleas. I usually think
to myself, yeah right - you just haven't looked hard enough! but then I was in it too...

Hope it goes away fast! I hate when I don't know what's going on with my guys!
Summer was on Green Dog food, and had no problems. I put her on Barking Heads as I struggled to get Green Dog. She chewed the hair just above her tail until it bled. I ended up trimming the hair round the area and using anti itch spray (it has a bitter taste so stops them biting themselves) There were bits of hair round the house where she scratched. I then found another stockist for Green Dog put her back on that and there has been no problem. It has something in it that repels fleas/ticks!
Could be a sudden allergic reaction to the food, I hope you get sorted poor doggie..
