Spaying too early

What future problems can arise from spaying a pup at 8 weeks old? :lmt:

I remembered a thread that I read and reread when Charm was little. Several members discussed and explained it thoroughly.
I just found it:

For the record, I waited till she had her first cycle before spaying. It really wasn't that bad.
That's a really old post - we've had more recent ones, with lots of documentation in them.

Even as far back as that post was (2006), things have changed.More time has passed with early spays, and more problems have surfaced as a result of it.

I'll dig a bit later for one of the more recent ones.

Edit - found it, the most recent one - it was a Neuter post, but the same logic applies to both males and females.

Thanks for the info. Reinforced what I thought I knew. The puppy girl in the El Paso shelter was spayed at 7 weeks, before she left the shelter. Apparently not a very good job as there were some concerns for her health.
