Boredom

Okay, Im bored!!! Brian is at work, Panda is chewing on a rawhide, and the only thing on tv is that Hilton junk.........Im so tired of the Hiltons!! I find the ironic thing about this new show is that they, the Hiltons are trying to teach people class, but, do people of class really sell themselves for self promotion? I think not............. :D And you cant count Trump because I dont think he has any class either.....Just a lot of money!! Im stressed at work...I just designed a $36,000 LAUNDRY ROOM....She keeps changing her mind on color and design. She broke 2 door samples, because she wanted to see what the frame of one looked like with the inset of another...........each sample is $60.... No consideration for the company's products......But I mean really, Who needs a laundry room that expensive? I am not complaining, the commision will be good....I guess Im just a tad bitter because someone can spend that much money on the lowest room in the house and I still dont have a living room sofa, an updated tub, a dishwasher, AND the royal blue paint from the previous owners on the outside of the house is really starting to show...Paint job is needed desperately....I love my job, my house, etc...I just think the heat is getting to me...I need a vacation....thanks for hearing me out........

S'aight.
I'm bored too, and feeling crappy and stressed... the dogs can tell too, they are pacing from the back door to the front door. I want to go to bed, but I know I won't sleep.... so I'll wait a bit longer.....
I hate summer TV... all re runs...lol... I almost never watch tv anyway. Thursday nights is about it, and even that I haven't been bothering with lately.
When I'm bored I design houses, LOL! I've done some pretty snazzy laundry rooms that included dog grooming areas.

Summer TV is the pitts!! If I don't have NetFlix movie, I end up reading. Books purchases last winter are finally getting read.

Ditto re: money and people. My sister-in-law is from a very prominent cattle family.......or at least they were until their rance became a national park, LOL. She once said only criminals and "fools" are found in newspapers. (I wish I could remember exactly the term she used for publicity seekers....fools??) I'm sure she has some equally pithy remarks for TV "celebs" including Trump and Hiltons.

(Tis better to do good and not be seen than to be seen and not do good.)
WOW $36,000 I can't even imagine what on earth would cost that for a laundry room. Or is it a laundromat...hehe

Some people can never be pleased, but it is good you get a good comission out of it.
Daisie...thats just for cabinets, no counters, floors or new w/d...not even a doggie center....the room is 20 x 20 and a shabby chic look...its fabulous...but really....I cant wait to do her kitchen...it will probably be double!! I got panda to play a little bit last nite, but she really wasnt in the mood either....
Willowsprite...did you finally sleep? Ambien is a good friend on nights like that................
AHHHHHHHHHHHH Ambien.............................. Live better chemically is my motto :D

I've been surfing the net in the wee hours............beats the TV, and you find all sorts of strange and unusual things. Ty still isn't sleeping at night which means I'M STILL NOT sleeping!!!!!!!!! I don't want him to wake Doug so I get up and go to the other room with him, he's learned FAST that Mom will go play with him if he starts to fuss.

I can't believe it, I've raised 5 kids (2 of my own and 3 step) and I'm being bested by a 3lb dog!!!!

By the time I get home from work I'm a zoombie from 10 hours of work on 3 or 4 hours of sleep so I end up zoning out on the couch. The dogs get walked if they are lucky but nothing else gets done.

Ahhhhhhh, there I've whined now I feel better :D
I feel for you...Nursing is a job of love, not sleep....why wont ty sleep?
I have no one to blame but myself. Ty has learned that all he has to do is wake me up and whine and "his wish is my command". He has been sleeping with us (the only way to get any sleep) and has been great about waking me up to go out. Which he does every night between 1 and 3. We go out to potty (which is fine) but then when it's time to come back to bed he thinks it's PLAY TIME!!!! If I go back to bed with him he'll go over to Doug and chew on his face til he wakes up, if I put him in his crate he will HOWL for hours keeping bopth of us up. So I wind up taking him to the living room andstaying with him. Sometimes I can doze off but if I do he goes to the bedroom and barks for Doug  So most of the time I just stay awake til it's time to get ready for work 8O Doug wasn't real happy about a second job so I don't want him to "pay the price"
The airport is 86, here at the house it is 95..........we will get into the low 100's while the town will be in the high 90's.

Afternoon showers creeping in so maybe monsoon is starting early? Hope not was we have evaporative cooler.
I didn't think I wanted to watch "Who wants to be a Hilton" or whatever it's called, but we didn't get up to change the channel while we worked on some things. It kept our attention and was pretty funny.

Formal Dinner. Guy was being fed by his team what to say to win the competition.

Team: Say Thank You
Texan: (to Mrs. Hilton) "Say Thank You"

HILARIOUS

You had to be there watching it, I guess. 8)

Oh, and That Average Joe show starts up again soon. I LOVVVVVVVVVE THAT SHOW.

Then Real World in Austin just started (and I'm from that area). First show was a riot.

I rarely watch tv now, but I'm definitely a reality tv fan.
I liked the Hilton show too!
I used to like the Real Worlds, back when they were a little more real (despite the amazing houses, etc) but now it is just too much sex and confrontation...I know a house full of 7 polite, well behaved strangers wouldn't be that interesting to watch, but still...there has to be a happy medium...
I'm a closet Survivor Fan
I used to love Survivor, the only reality show I liked, but even that has been an on and off thing the last couple years.
My guilty reality show pleasure: America's Next Top Model.

I know, vapid, skinny chicks whining and screaming at each other and I love every minute of it.
I'm with you Maxmm, I love America's Next Top Model and everyone else in the house thinks I'm nuts. I like it because the transformation is amazing - those girls don't look like much at all without the makeup and the wild hair. Sometimes the ones that are the most beautiful on the runway are the least attractive without the makeup. And I love the antics they have to go through for the photo shoots - suspended in mid air, underwater. It's a riot!

I also loved Project Runway. Funny, because I'm personally not into fashion (as I sit in my t shirt and workout pants) but I loved watching those contestants take a roll of fabric and turn it into something really whacky.
I'm enjoying "Fire Me, Please" It's way too funny! I can't believe some of them don't get fired earlier in the day. :)
We LOVE "Fire Me Please."

It always has my husband falling off the couch.

america's next top model is good too, but we've always lived in a town that didn't carry that channel. The one time I did see it, it was a marathon shown on E! (or Vh1).

Have you seen Oprah Winfrey without her makeup? 8O
It is scary what people look like without their "team" of specialists. I like some reality shows but more tradtional ones:

Baby Story...makes me cry every time.
Home reno/landscaping shows...ALL of these ones, esp in weekend with a budget. I get so many ideas.
Diet/Fitness ... Biggest Loser had me hooked.

For fluff:
Star Dancing with professional dancers...can't rember the name
Dancing with the Stars

Oh geez, why do I know that? They're gonna kick me out of Mensa...
