Larry Hooper

I am saddened to have to write about the passing of my dear friend Sharons husband Larry. He died of an apparent cardiac event sun while doing what he loved ,puttering in his back yard. Sharon is known as Ben's mom on the forum and she has (along with Larry who was our road warrior) worked with OES and all breed rescue for many years. He was such a devoted husband , father and grandfather and a friend to rescue. I can still see him sitting in his chair with a very small yorkie in his shirt pocket!! There are two OES Ben and fozzy a yellow lab named cricket and a puggle type dog named pumpkin, that reside at the hooper house. He will be missed by many and the rescue community lost a devoted vol. Please keep Sharon and her family in your thoughts and prayers

So sad to hear of Larry's passing. Larry was a devoted rescue worker and very careful about the homes dogs in his care went to. I regret not getting to meet him during Molly's adoption.

I'll bet he's at the Rainbow Bridge watching over all of our shaggy loved ones. Sharon, you have my deepest sympathy.

I'm sorry about Larry. Obviously I never met him, but if he had a small Yorkie in his pocket, he was a good man. I will say a prayer for Sharon and family.

I'm sorry for Sharon's loss, your loss and the Rescue community's loss, Cindy. Larry sounds like a great guy I'd have liked to meet.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Larry. I am so sorry Sharon. I never met Larry, but he sounds like a wonderful person who will be truely missed.

Didn't know Larry but may he rest in peace. So sorry to hear of this loss. My prayers go out to his family, friends and those who loved him...God Bless..
