Lola will need dentures!!

I swear that I am going to pull all of her teeth out and then cut out Brian's tongue....

Lola has been sleeping outside of her crate, on her dog bed, locked in our bedroom with us.(ever since catching her eating the dining room chairs)..she had been perfect...

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO...
1. i listen to brian last night saying ''how are we ever going to trust her, if we dont give her a chance, we need to let her have the whole house"....(big first mistake)....

2. wake up to brian cleaning up dog vomit which included a large lump of seagrass...ie my chair...

ahh the joys of puppyhood and spouses with REALLY REALLY bad ideas....

there should be a spouse shaming/dumb listening wife website 8O

The trick to letting the dog roam the whole house at night for us was putting out a few new interesting toys each night. Eevee was so busy checking those out she didn't chew on other stuff.
Darcy it must have been the weekend for it.

Wayne and I spent yesterday about an hours drive out of Melbourne in a beautiful wine growing area. Lovely lunch at a winery restaurant then on to an outdoor concert, so we were gone from before lunch till 11pm.

Wayne's idea was we should leave the dogs out in the back courtyard as it was cool and the weather forecast was showers clearing by lunch time (which they had). My objection was we have been having unsettled thunderstormy weather. "No the weather bureau have not forecast any storms. And we don't want to have to clean up an accident when we get home late" was his perspective.

Ok leave them outside it's easier than arguing. Half way through the concert a thunderstorm could be seen off in the direction of home. Checked out the radar, yep looks nice and close to home.

As you may remember Rastus is petrified of thunder and jumped our fence and ran away at Christmas. I was on the phone to friends who live close by and luckily they said it had been very brief and not much thunder. But they said they'd come over if there was any more thunder.

I didn't really relax until we got home and Rastus was still in the backyard. I have to go and groom Tiggy though. She lay out in the rain.

I'll join you on the spouse shaming/dumb listening wife website
Good thing he cleaned up! I think he got the message. Sometimes justice is sweet.

Ooooh I agree, I could write a book, well a triliogy on this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron we need a new section on shaming the other half when it comes to Sheepie puppers and other halves that dont listen :P :?
Reason #54387 why I am happily single ;-)

At least when dumb decisions are made re the dogs I know who to blame <vbg> And I've had my share of "brilliant" ideas.

Remember the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome? That would be me last week thinking my &*^% rescue dog could manage to make it through the day NOT dragging the blanket I had covered all but the front of her crate with to make it more den like (she can't be left loose; she will hurt herself) and ripping it to shreds. (Yes, she has separation anxiety, among other afflictions)

By the time she had shredded blanket #3 I finally conceded that she prefers the open air look  She doesn't shred the blanket in the crate. Yet.

Kristine
:D :D :D How old is Lola now?
I'm telling you, Harley ate the entire side off my seagrass trunk. I tried everything - bitter apple, cayenne, vinegar, wrapping it in a tarp, not to mention redirecting her, new toys, chewy treats - everything. I don't think there is a thing we can to to get rid of the appeal of seagrass.

The only thing that worked was replacing it with a metal and glass table.
Oh goodness! Glad Lola is ok! Not sure if you remember years and years ago when Annie ate 3 pounds of Hershey's chocolates along with the wrappers. I had told Steve to put the bag with his employee gifts on top of the fridge. He left is on the kitchen table....
lola is 8 months old now....a baby in a big girls body.....she weighs 56 lbs but actually thinks she still weighs 12 lbs....while she has mastered sit, down, right paw, left paw and crate...we need to seriously work on stay, off, no biting and out (as in out of the kitchen, out of the dishwasher, out of the closet)

:)
