My dad is such a klutz

Hi everyone, this is Mady! I just needed to complain about my dad. He was SUCH a klutz at agility this week! There was a fun course laid out, and I was doing wonderfully as usual, I did a jump, then jumped through a tire, easy-peasy stuff, and I had to turn left (and this is where I disagree with daddy), and I'm pretty sure I had to go through the awesome tunnel, daddy thought I should go over the jump right next to the tunnel, silly daddy, doesn't he know tunnels are the best thing ever??? Why would a super agility girl like me go over yet another boring jump instead of rocketing through an awesome tunnel? Well the problem was daddy was trying to run ahead, and I, of course, was going top speed headed for the tunnel and then daddy got right in the way, he tripped over me, did a somersault and knocked over the jump!!! 8O I was SO embarrassed!    How can an agility star like me work under these conditions?? Daddy said he wanted to get in front of the tunnel and guide me towards the jump. But daddy? TUNNEL? DUH!

I love my daddy, but sometimes I wonder if he's cut out to be an agility servant for a star like me, he'd probably be better off with one of those dumb border collies or something!

Oh Mady, sounds like you need to train your dad a bit better, how could he not know that tunnels are the best?
Ha Ha!
Hi Mady

I know you are a star and tunnels are great, but your Daddy is really trying. Maybe you just need a little patience while you are training Daddy. You see, he thinks he is training you but we all know that you don't need training, he does. So, take a deep breath, calm yourself and be patient with your Daddy.
Mady, have Daddy read Kristine's excellent post today. He will feel better.......as for you, talk to Sybil.........

Poor, poor Mady. It is so hard for you I'm certain. Charm would respond to you, but I don't want her to start thinking about how sad her plight is too. Hapless uprights 8O 8O

Tell your Daddy to read Kristine's advice, he will definitely feel better about his "roll" in agility

ROTF.

So sorry Mady. As I've said, you have to laugh, otherwise its just work and who wants to work at a playground. If you ask Simon, he will tell you that training us can be a little difficult and yes, rocketing through that tunnel is much more fun.
Dear Mady,
this is your friend Tiggy, Agility Gerl here.
I'm not sure whether to sympathise or be jealous. 8O
My agility servant has NEVER done anything as spectacular as a somersault and knocking a jump over. :cow: So I'm kinda jealous about that.
I do sympathise with your frustations though. And I totally agree, tunnels are AWESOME!!!
I prescribe a couple of weeks of dodge and weave training for you, that should solve the problem.
Oh Mady, us humans only have 2 legs, not 4 for speed and balance like you lucky dogs!!
