Happy Gotcha Day Micky

5 years ago this week I adopted my boy Micky whose vid I watched over and over and he stole my heart. Eventually I drove down to Seattle to pick him up. The woman in the vid drove up from Oregon and we made it happen.
You know his story ended happily. :O)

Yeah, I know he's a cat but has since become part of my furried gang.

hmmm pretty much describes a sheepie doesn't it? Except Micky doesn't bark :O)
Congrats Micky!!!

We have a cat named Mookie who does all the Sheepie thing INCLUDING barking!!! If you're petting him and stop before he's done, he'll bark at you until you start petting him again. We rescued him from a farmer who used cats that were born on his property as target practice. We got the last two from Mookie's litter, Mookie and Malahkai. The guy who told us about this got Mookie's Mom! She was the last cat we could find so we're sure we saved the last ones. Triple happy ending!

I remember when you got him!!! :D
Thanks Everyone.

Vance while your story is heartbreaking - I'm also glad it had a happy ending. Wish all strays could be so lucky. I know I'm with a good group that always steps up and helps stop the suffering of animals that aren't so lucky.

Got Sheep - I know you're also an "ole timer" around these parts...cough I don't mean in terms of age but in membership here at OES. :O) Just seems like yesterday..but you know times flies when you're having fun. We have fun here in our little "family" group.

Micky did revert back to being feral once he healed which took a couple months. The behavior in the vid was so unbelievable as he was a true feral (born to a feral mom in a junkyard and no human contact). He did let me touch him when I gave him meds that first year but as he got better he reverted back to his feral self but he lives with my other cats who are domestic and follows their lead. Although he'd never let me pick him up - he does come to me for pats and food...more importantly food.:O) He's a sweetie nonetheless - except that one time I took him in for microchipping ....but that's another story.
I can't believe it's been 5 years already. What a lucky boy Micky is to have been with you and your crew for so long.
Yay for Micky!

Ive not heard much about micky, but he looks like an amazing little kitty :) I love cats
I finally got to a place where I could watch the video... If that doesn't' melt your heart, you don't have one. What a great cat, rescuer and of course Marianne!
