Oh the waiting for results!

I took Langley in to the vet this morning, for a biopsy he has a lump on his hip I just cannot stop worrying about. My vet said if I worry then check it. So... waiting... CALL! already.

Think happy positive thoughts all.

I just did the waiting thing last month with Angus and his cyst that he had removed. I know how it feels! Hang in there! Postive thoughts for a clean report!
Thanks for the positive thoughts. Still waiting...
Waiting is so tough. But I am sure it will be fine. Thinking of you. :hearts:
Okay finally got the results. I stepped away for a drink and of course she called. She said usually what they drain is like tap water and his was cloudy and pinkish. So that is odd but to keep an eye on it. But I called back and clarified NOT CANCER?? nope. But she thinks it could be some kind of infection. The fact that he right now has an ear infection makes me think he is fighting something. So I am going to put him on antibiotics.

Seriously the blood drained and I felt weak and like rubber when I listen to the call because it wasn't exactly "nothing's wrong" My lil man! But not as bad as it could be. Onward and forward phew! I still feel like crying for some reason ack!
Cry away! And glad it's not cancer, but at least is something logical based on what he's got going on. :)
NOT cancer is very good news! Hopefully it will clear up quick and easily! :crossed:
:ghug: glad you got good news!

Not cancer is very good news. I got the "cancer" news with Pooh Bear and I can't tell you how bad that felt. I am very, very happy for your results!!!!

Yes, it was awful, so hug your babies. With Angus we waited a few days for biopsy reports on his cyst since the liquid they drew out looked like what they took out of Pooh's cyst. I couldn't think straight after his surgery to remove the cyst last month. His reults came back negative for cancer and I cried when the vet call with results. I dreaded thinking the same results we had with Pooh, but it was good news! So, I know how you feel!! Happy you had good news!
If they think it's an infection wouldn't it make sense to completely drain it or lance it perhaps? Did they culture for specific bacteria to know which antibiotics to put him on? Hope it clears up quickly! :ghug:

They did drain it and do a culture. I didn't ask what exact infection. Is there specific ones? But I will be sure to ask. I was just relieved it wasn't anything more. It isn't irrupted or bugging his so we will leave it for now and not put him under which I don't care for. IT isn't that big probably the size of a quarter if that and 1/4 inch high. Thanks for the help Stacey.
That's good to know, I'm sure they have him on the right stuff then :)
Still going to ask :)
The cyst we had removed from Angus last month was about the 1 1/2 in diameter. It had grown in the past couple of months. He had an aspiration and the vet had taken 2 samples out, one was clear, the other cloudy and bloody looking. She thought there were 2 cysts inside of one sac and recommended surgery to remove it. They took surrounding tissue and sent it in for a biopsy. They didn't want to risk splitting the sample apart after surgery to inspect it, just sent it in right away. So, it is usually good to be on the safe side, check out samples, especially if they are questionable.
