CGC and TDI therapy dog - Bond!

Yesterday Bond and I tested for his AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dogs International therapy dog. He easily passed both tests! :yay: :yay:

Dogs need to be at least 1 year old to TDI test - and he is 1 year and 3 weeks old. :aww:

Now to wait for TDI to get up and running (the offices are in Flanders, NJ - 30 miles west of NYC and are still closed d/t no power). This is also renewal season for everyone in the entire US...this is going to be a nightmare beyond anything for them. :( We can't start visits with Bond until they get our paperwork processed.

Congrats!!!! I wanted to do therapy dog too. But was turned down because I feed raw. :(
congrats to you and Bond. I hope you get your paperwork soon so you can take your sweetie out to do his therapy.
Wow, there's a shocker    :D :D :D Of course Bond is super, he will certainly follow in the steps of his big brother! :clappurple:
Congratulations! (And was there ever any doubt he'd pass with flying colors? NOPE!)

Great job Team Bond, congrats.
If Bond had failed, Chewie would have chewed him a new one. He'll be a great therapy dog.....just like his older brother.
:clappurple: :clappurple: Congrats Dawn and Bond!!
Congratulations!!
That was a plan of mine but I work full time now and they don't do weekend therapy dog visits here so they're not interested in us either.
:clappurple: :clappurple: Congrats to you both! :clappurple: :clappurple:

Congratulations to you and Bond, Dawn. I had no doubt he would pass easily.
Now he can go with you and Chewie on your therapy visits. I'm sure he will be just as good at it as Chewie is.

Lisa - I have friends who feed raw and have the same issue. I'm not all in favor of excluding the raw fed dogs, but I do see the reasoning. And mainly because some handlers are not as good about cleaning their dogs up before visits as they should. Not so much their mouths with bacteria, but the legs, facial hairs, etc. It's just too much potential liability. :( :(

Mim - we do many weekend visits and activities. The bulk of them are weekdays and weekday evenings, but we do weekends too. Is this from the therapy dog organization you hear this, or from the places you would visit?
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: Congratulations!! :cheer: :cheer:
Way to go Bond!!! A twofer! Awesome.
