What do you Drink?

My husband and I were talking over dinner about the differences in men and women...one of which is what they prefer to drink! So, what do you drink? Wine? Red white or Zinfandel? Beer? Whiskey? Mixed drinks?

zinfandel :)
Tom Collins Dry-- Straight up- With a twist.

Or Boones Farm.
well I do enjoy a good gin and tonic with a big twist of lime......
Anything but gin. Of course I'm more likely to get a margarita, but that's a regional choice here. Just finished a vodka collins at restaurant. Whiskey, bourbon, scotch for quiet personal time. Wine......depends on food. Rarely beer unless at the ball park or a good ale. Sounds like I'm a lush, but I can go months and months between drinks.
Mello Yello.
Riesling and mixed fruity girly drinks when I drink.

I really love a good beer but I am limited now that I can't have gluten or wheat.
Coffee
I'm an appletini girl
..and I guess cheap wine because I think Ménage à Trois is yumm...
I drink a margarita when I'm out to dinner and my husband drinks a screw driver. Neither of us drink beer.
Tea. Hot or iced; whatever the weather dictates.

As for liquor; rum and strictly the good stuff. My current bottle is an 18 year old Appleton's Select and it's as good as it gets for under $200 a fifth.

hey sheepie boss I will be in NM for the balloon feista Want to meet up??

I do love sabgria too ..I must be a lush My drink of choice is caffine free diet coke or herbal tea...
I'm rarely drink mixed drinks aside from a margarita occasionally. I prefer red wine.
Funny that this post is getting more repsonses than I have seen in a long time...
Coffee is my drink of choice.

I did have a Bellini's (sp) this summer at a wrap up party for my summer job. My co-workers made sure I tried one when I mentioned I hadn't drank liquor since that 1/2 glass of wine I had in 2003. LOL.

When I use to go out I only drank those girly fruity drinks but also did love Grand Marnier, whipped cream and coffee drinks.
My choice of alcohol is beer...when I drink...about once a year. Every couple years :) I'll have a Blue Hawaii. Those are yummy.

Since I drink SO often, its usually one drink and I'm feeling no pain...Cheap date.
Tea - iced or hot. For pop, it's Mello Yello, but I don't hardly drink any pop anymore.
Alcohol - like trying new wines, for mixed drinks like a Margarita, or just a simple vodka sour. Sometimes I'm just in a beer mood too. ;)

Hmmmm, I'm afraid to ask the meaning of the *third* entendre of menage....?

Technically, I suppose I'm afraid to ask because there might not be a third entendre, and I might just be asking about what happens after cheap wine.

I'm afraid, very afraid.
Coffee, coffee, and more coffee.... if alcohol is wanted, bailey's in my coffee lol
If I want to feel the effects of alcohol, beer and jello shots.
drink yes i will martini thank you stir not shaken
My husband drinks beer. I enjoy Moscato or a Reisling.
jack and coke is my go-to. I also love me some champagne.
I must be really boring...just white wine for me. Pinot Gregio is my fav...so what is a Bleu Hawaian? And a I have to ask...a managrie du whatever? I know what it is in "activity" terms but not a drink...
I quit drinking pop about a year ago.
I like fruity cheap wines. I love a loco Michigan wine called Wtches Brew. It's a seasonal spiced wine.

Always willing to try a new mixed drink. Especially if it's blue.

Lisa Frankie and Mattie
Nothing wrong with a little kinky-ness ...and I like it a lot.

All of the above except Zinfandel. What is Zinfandel? :?

Seriously, I don't like sweet wines but drink red or white depending on what I'm eating. I do like a sticky or a fortified after dinner. I'm not really one for spirits with sweet mixes but like gin and tonic on hot summer evenings and so is a nice cold beer.
Too much!

Oh, what types of drinks. I'm a huge "omnivore" when it comes to drinks, I love wine, prefer red, I love ranging widely sampling as many as I can. My top 3 in terms of volume bought is probably Ontario, France, Italy. I also love wines from Australia, Chile, Argentina, Hungary (near impossible to get good ones here though), and I have and will try wines from nearly anywhere. This past weekend I had a bottle of Missourri wine I picked up at Sheepiepalooza and it was really good, I think from Augusta Winery.

Aside from wine, it's liquor and beer. For liquor my favourites are rum and cognac. I have a number of bottles of good sipping rum, my favourites have been from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Cuba, Nicaragua, I'm always on the lookout for a a new bottle and have enjoyed rums from Honduras, Jamaica, Barbados, Guatemala Columbia etc.
Some really good bottles I have sampled recently is a Ron Zacapa 23 years, Flor de Cana 18 years, Dictador 12 years.
The girls know my predilection for rum too, they got me this wonderful bottle of 21 year Appleton's for Father's day :D

My go-to drink is just the humble rum'n'coke, preferably with decent (but not 21 year!) rum (for mixing, my standard is Flor de Cana 5 year).

I also drink vodka, whiskey, various brandies, I enjoy making and serving cocktails and martinis, and I am always willing to try a local liquor or liqueur (Unicum in Hungary, blech!) . I have a very full liquor cabinet at home.

And beer, I often drink beer, and again, I love sampling different beers, Belgium is paradise for beer, and I also love ales and stouts from Ireland and the UK. I'll also drink beers from everywhere else too, with a general rule of thumb that the most popular mass-produced beer in any country is also the worst (e.g. Coors light, Bud, Molson, Stella etc). Probably by volume again, it's Canadian, then Irish (sadly not Belgian, it's hard to get regularly, if I lived in Belgium, it would be Belgian, Belgian, Belgian). But maybe it's my age, if I'm drinking a lot  , it's probably not beer, it just fills you up too much! Just 1 or 2 to start!

So yeah, I enjoy the odd tipple here and there

p.s. and interestingly, I don't drink coffee.
Well, it's hard to follow David's post! Daily I drink water and Diet Dr. Pepper. I never drink beer and maybe a glass of wine once or twice a year. When I drink, it's hard liquor, bourbon, preferably Wild Turkey. On the rocks with water. I will do scotch and water when I'm with DebCram.

I must say that I don't drink much because I no longer smoke, and drinking without smoking is just not right.
David - there's a small distillery in Alabama, (I know, weird but go with me on this one) that my son stumbled across several years ago that makes a great mango/peach rum. I have a little bit left at home, so I'll try to get the name for you. I was amazed how good it was considering the source and price; it was pretty cheap according to my son. He brought it back knowing I like 'good' rum.

Stumbled across or out of? ;-)
LOL Sorry. :sidestep:

Anyway, would you post the name for all of us if/when you find out? My one drink a year oughtta be tasty. Thanks.

My last one was "Sabra" an israeli orange chocolate liqueur. It was very hard to find it, a liquor store owner called his distributor for me. :D
beer but craft or Belgium beer. We're very picky about our beer in this house

We have a distillery here in Lunenburg just came out with a Rum for the Bluenose launch. Had a taste and bought a bottle for my Dad. Was very yummy. Really neat place; took Langley and he was a hit.

I drank beer for a good part of my life; especially since I lived in Germany for eight years. But of late I have been taking wine class and really enjoy trying new wines and finding out what taste better with what foods.

My mixed drink of choose is a spicy Caesar with Gin.
this is pretty much daily...
black coffee x2
water x10+
savignon blanc x1(or2)
water x3
I need to drink more water!

Oh and I love my coffee!!!!

Gah! I have to figure out how to get a bottle!
My VERY MOST FAVORITE BEVERAGE IN THE WHOLE WORLD IS MILK!!!! 2 gallons, minimum per week. :) Coffee in the morning, no more than 2 cups. Water, Margaritas, Bloddy Marys, Vodka with pomogranate juice and grapefruit juice, Baileys in my coffee (yum) and in the summer I occasionally like a ice cold BOTTLE of beer. I even like some of the 'box' wines.
