Anyone read the article about Obie the overweight Doxie?

It's pretty sad that this could happen to a dog, but working with the elderly at our law practice, there are a lot of senior citizens who love their pets to a point of cruelty. I think their may have been some dementia involved, as well.

OMG poor dog. Doesn't look like they've posted any updates regarding weight loss?
I read about it... yes, they were elderly and had dementia issues from what I read.

His new owner posted that he has lost 6lbs in three weeks, so he is making a good progress. It's heartbreaking to see the photo where he's on his back to get a tummy rub and you see how worn/irritated his belly skin is. Poor Doxies don't have a lot of fur to begin with but his skin has to be pretty calloused.
