So Jen and I went to a little country farmer's produce stand Sunday and found this... Kinda restores one's faith in humanity a bit, a wee bit but still... It's funny too as there was no one around and except three customers and it was like 11:30AM. Incidentally, we'll be going back. They had some of the best sweet corn for $5 a dozen and some killer tomatoes too!
We have a few of those places here near me In our small town we have a general store with a garage attached (kind of mayberry like) The owner does not take credit cards cash and check only. If you don't have enough money (I never carry my check book anymore) you write what you own in a marble note book and pay next time.............I love my po dunk town
We have a friend who runs a fall pumpkin/gourd/straw bales stand in his church parking lot. It's huge and it's all done with a self pay drop box. He is an independent hay seller too. I had pictures last fall with Chewie and Riley there....

We had something similar in the market near us for a while, but one evening the drop box was stolen, and it stopped. It almost made me feel bad for stealing that drop box.
(just kidding!)
