Dog food claims....
I picked the food based on the breeders recommendations. I think it's pretty good and it seems to keep his little tummy nice and calm. When I read this is made me wonder.... How can dog food makers claim behavioural claims? Is there any body that regulates such claims or is this just a marketing ploy? P.s. my sheepie doesn't need food to make him smart. He is naturally clever and somewhat mischievous. Don't let the fuzz ball clowning around my yard fool you! |

| Eukanuba large breed puppy... Yea, he is on it because it calms his stomach and both my vet and the breeder we got him from reccommend he stay on it. I was actually kind of amused by the claims on the side of the bag. It also claims on their website that the puppy's poops will be easier to clean up. But I am sure there are some people that would buy it when they saw that claim believing that it would help with behaviour and training, if only it were that easy to get a balanced dog. My other dog is on a super premium wholistic food and it has no such claims. Although I am sure it is just as good if not better than the Eukanuba. Oh what big companies will do to make money! |

| We had to come of Eukanuba as it made ours "hypo and agressive" that was our previous oes and when we changed to JWB after 2 days he was a supper pup-strange how some foods are fine for some but not for others-my main thing is their tums and behaviour in "normal" than it's great!x |
| Marketing of course. But there is some truth to it - I mean any dog that is fed a well-balanced diet will be "smarter and easier to train" as he'll have a healthier nervous system and brain. But any well-balanced decent dog food can achieve that. I like the claim about ingredients that change their coat characteristic. Oils usually, but it's just oils, provides energy or in abundance makes them fat...it's not going to make them look like Farah Fawcett. LOL Again, good nutrition will make any dog's coat nice because they are healthy, but a good portion of better foods can all do that. |

She had been on it 2 years as well. It wasnt just her someone else I know had the same thing happen. We contacted JWB to see if they had altered the ingredients but they hadnt. She is now on barking heads which seems to agree with her, and little yorkie is on JWB. |
