First visit to the vet took AN HOUR....because he's too cute

So I took Leonard to the vet for the first time. The clinic we go to has a first puppy visit at ten weeks to check out the dog, show me how to clean his ears, clip his nails, set up vaccination schedules etc. We have been going to this vet for years and usually we are in and our quickly...but for Leonard's first visit it took AN HOUR... Not because there was anything wrong with him but because the staff made such a big deal over him. They have two other OES that go to this clinic and apparently they are big fans of the breed. Was weird because we had never caused such stir on any other day. Everybody in the clinic HAD to meet him and they all took their time fussing over him. Of course he loved the attention and wiggled his little bum at every new person. Leonard proceeded to try to lick the vet's face and then fall asleep when the actual exam came around and the vet and vet tech said he was perfect.Vet also said his teeth and coming in and to lock up my sandals and invest in some good chews.

That's great you got a good report, and your baby had a good time!
Well I mean, just look at him! No surprise!
lol, that has totally happened to us before too. Going anywhere with the puppies means that it will take 3 times longer than anticipated because of what I call "the paparazzi factor".
Why wouldn't they want to make over him? He is adorable. You will have to get him sunglasses so that his fans won't recognize him!!!!
Thats what happens when you look like him. :aww:

Of course he's too cute!!
 Get used to it. People pull their cars over all the time to pet Oscar while we are on our walks. They often say that they can't believe that he is real. 8)

I also get alot of smiles while driving, when Oscar pops his head up from my backseat every time we come to a stop. I see folks pointing and laughing in the cars around us.

Sheepdogs are showstoppers, and yours is certainly a sweetie pie!

Good idea... I just saw this post now and I actually did put sunglasses on him when he was sleeping in the car once...http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=38535

They are truly 'unrecognizable' when they wear their shades :)
