I'm feeling a little guilty

I called the Bee Man today. Step daughter pointed out to us that we have a wasp/hornet nest on the roof under the shingles. I checked it out and oh yea...they are up there. I was wondering why it seemed there were so many of them this year.

So I asked dh who do we know that will get up on our roof...at night...and spray that nest? I got no answer.

I was outside this morning, water the flowers and spraying some weeds and went through the gate into the back yard. I'm looking around trying to figure out how to make brown grass turn green. I noticed what seemed like hundreds of wasps flying just above the grass. Its around the low area where our sump empties. They were looking for water.

Thinking that if I or the dogs went into that area, we are likely to get stung. So I looked up the # and called and booked them. They will be here sometime this week.

So now I'm feeling a little guilty. Don't they have as much right to live as I do? But than again, if they make their house ON my house, don't I have the right to evict them?

Why am I feeling bad?

Wasps are not nice....don't feel guilty!
I had them nest in the wall off my garage once ...and my 1st clue they were there was the day they attacked.
I pulled in my garage, and got out, and slammed my car door shut.
That was all it took - they came piling out and in an angry cloud...I barely made it out of the garage and RAN down my driveway and into my house!
Travis and his friend Luke went out armed with 2 cans of flying insect spray (I'm amazed I even had 1 can!) and took care of it. They were about 16 and enjoyed it... ;)
The wasp spray will shoot about 15-20 feet. Spray at night or near full day as they retire after sundown. Do not live with a wasp nest around your house.....they can live elsewhere since they have such a hair trigger.

Every yr i have to call someone to evict wasps from my house. Im allergic and so is my wolf hybrid. I dont feel guilty in the least bit. Its pretty much a them or me situation and my choice is always going to be the same.
