Adorable 7 month old in California

Just thought I'd post this for anyone out west who might be interested:

Link to Brink on Petfinder

He's an adorable 7 month old. Looks like he had some medical problems but they don't mention anything now.

I cannot keep spending time on Petfinder! ;)

Ack! He's only about 2 hours away from me. God if Spike was a little older I'd happily take Brink home with me. It's so tempting but I don't think it's a good idea with Spike almost 6 months now, two huge puppies around the same age in my tiny rented house is probably more than I can handle right now. :( I hope he finds a wonderful, loving home.
He is so darling :D I hope he finds a great home.

Clyde wants a brother(he told me so)
I got suspicious for a second here, since there aren't tons of sheepies for adoption in southern california (I looked and looked for a long time to find one) and this location is only a few minutes from where I got Barney and this sheepie has medical issues, and Barney has hip dysplasia...I was beginning to think that maybe I was somehow duped when I got him from the lady saying that she only purchased Barney on a whim...but that she was really having more of a sheepdog business than she let on, but I know I am probably just way over-thinking this and that Brink is not connected at all to anywhere Barney was.
Sorry for the ramble!

I know I couldn't find any reputable OES breeders in Southern CA either, which is why I ended up getting my dog from a breeder halfway across the country, but I would assume that puppy mills ship OES's to pet stores here and then they end up needing to be rescued. There is an OES rescue in Burbank but there don't seem to be any breeders around as far as I know. What's interesting is that Petfinder seems to have him listed as a sheepdog mix, from that photograph he looks purebred but it's hard to know for sure. I'd certainly like to know his story but the more I find out about him, the more I'd want to take him home. :(
You know, Petfinder changed that from the time that I posted this. He was originally listed as just an OES. Seems kind of weird. He definitely looks purebred to me but I'm not an expert.

Yeah, I was looking for both rescues and breeders for a long time (mostly as a hobby because until recently I lived with my parents and I don't think they would have let another sheepie come into the house (they already have a 7 year old). My parents got their sheepdog from a breeder near Palmdale, CA 6 1/2 years ago, but I know my mom had to do a lot of researching to find one.
Yeah, my sheepdog was born in Missouri from a puppy mill and then, I am assuming, bought by the pet store in southern california where he was purchased by the lady who ended up giving him to me. And then I flew him all the way out to Virginia! Poor puppy should have frequent flyer miles!

Oh, Brink is SO CUTE!! If I was still in CA I would definitely go see about him...I emailed my parents about him but I haven't heard back! :?
I couldn't stop thinking about Brink so I just gave Pet Haven a call and lo and behold - Brink has been adopted! YAY!! I'm so happy for him but a tad sad because I was trying to convince myself that I should see what the story was with him. This is definitely for the best.
