SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS
 
I have been waiting since Feb. for this job opening in Habitat for Humanity. I have called evry month at least twice and finally the guy said, we'll release it sometime in July, hey i will even mail you an application. I am thinking this is great. I will still call though b/c this guy is pretty busy and i don't want to miss out. I watch the paper like a hawk, just in case. June 1st rolls around i want to call, but everybody says he'' be sacred of you by the time. So i say okay Friday june 3rd i'll call. So i call and he's like ok i'll email it to you. I can't check it till oh about 20 min. ago. He says in his email that this job posting was released in the paper already and the deadline for it was jUne 3rd,(the day that i called him ) and to not get my hopes up b/c all the other responses have already been sent in to the Board od Directors. I just want to throw myself off of something i could just kill him. I have been planning on this job since the begging of the year. The other two employees love me to death, that's how i got in contact and i just i just NEED this job, i m so broke, i think i m going to go cry till the wee hours of the morning now.

| Aw Shannon, that's just terrible. I'm sorry -- some people can be so mean, sometimes without even realizing it.
Did you have your wits about you to ask him how this was possible? Maybe if you call on Monday as ask him "Is there any way you could see you way clear to present me to the board even though my application was be late? I'm a great candidate, and remember, I was recommended by two of you wonderful long-time employees, with whom I'd just love to work, and they'd like to work with me, too!)" Either way, it will work out for the best. It ALWAYS does. |
| I have calmed down a bit, after talking to Chris. Chris used to work with this guy and he doesn't think it will hurt my chances too much. But i was acting a bit crazy so i think he was humoring me. Believe me i am not giving up this job without a fight. It gives my financial security till; when ever i deceide to quit anf 5000 $ in loan money for school, wich i won't have to pay back. I am tracking this guy down on Mon. asap and either going stairght to the board or getting something down. sigh i need sleep today has been a full day.
