Book Club Recommendation

Don't know if the book club is still active, but I highly recommend a new book, GONE GIRL, by Gillian Flynn. It's a psychological thriller about a married couple beginning with her disappearance on their 5th wedding anniversary. It has so many unexpected plot twists and turns and a mind blowing ending. It's the type of book you want to discuss with someone immediately after finishing it.

Sounds interesting, will request a copy from the library.
Awesome, I needed a new read. My brain was bleeding from Shades of Gray, so something with an actual plot will be welcome
Thank You!!!!
Thanks! Sounds like my type of book. Do we want to start up again with the book club? I was assuming everyone would be outdoors and busy during the summer and we'd pick up again in the Fall but?????
Thanks for the recommendation. I'm always looking for a good book. I too am a victim of brain bleed from 50 Shades.
I'm good with waiting until fall, or starting now...as I read all the time!

Thanks for the book recommendation - I'll check it out!
Just finished Gone Girl. It was so good I bought the other two books by the author. 5 stars.
What did you think of the ending?

It caught me by surprise! It certainly leaves the door open for more. It could be a Sociopath dynasty once the baby comes.
hmm, I had requested this from the library and never got it - guess I better check on it!
Am I the only person on earth who has not read Shades of Gray? My sister-in-law was talking about reading it the other day. I just finished A Dogs Purpose. That was an interesting book.

I only have a couple of weeks before I start at the new school so I won't have much time to read. I have to get the 1/2 bath painted!!!! I have a feeling this school year will be a busy one since I am teaching something I have never taught before.

You are not the only one not to read shades of gray, my husband just read A Dog's Purpose and a Dogs Journey, he loved both of them. I didn't read it cause I would cry.

Good luck with your teaching assignment.
Just went into the library order site and there are 273 people ahead of me requesting this book. Guess it will be awhile.

Another good book is "Let's Pretend this Never happened" (a mostly ture memoir) by Jenny Lawson, she is nuts I think.

We must have a long list too - I looked back and it was June 17th when I requested it - and I'm still waiting. :?
I never read the Shads of Grey either. I like serial killer murder stories. I am readins a good one now and will move on to Gone Girl after that...
