Thanks Chewie and Harry!

It worked! I knew that if Daddy watched you do your agility tricks at Sheepiepalooza, and that if I showed him that I remembered how to jump, that he would sign himself up for another agility course! And he did, we start on Thursday!! I know that it will take alot of training and practice for Daddy to have a clue what to do  but I am a patient girl and am willing to work with him. So thanks, boys! :ghug: :ghug:

Mady,

Chewie and Harry inspire us all !!!!!

It is great you got to learn some of the tricks. I loved it when my Aussies where in agility. It was a lot of fun.
Mady -
I'm glad you are getting a 2nd chance at going to agility classes.
Agility is one of my favorite sports to play!
I hope your dad can get it...those humans who are new are sooooo slow picking it up! Trust me, I know!

Chewie - one of those agility "guinea pig" dogs... 8) 8)
I can't wait to get started on agility. The local dog people who do obedience and agility classes have yet to reply to my email though... It's been like a month. I guess I should give up on the email and just call them.

Eevee is still pretty young to be worrying about starting her in agility, but obedience training definitely helps with everything and would help a lot with agility later.
I am SUCH a proud daddy! Mady was fantastic last night! Not only was I thrilled by the huge enthusiasm she had for everything, she was also much better controlled, much more patient! She wasn't just wanting to run wild all over the jumps, but she wanted to learn and listen to me, she wanted to WORK! There's no doubt in my mind Mady could be a terrific agility dog and it will only be me (of course!) who needs to step up and help her achieve her potential! I have my homework, I gotta get hardcore about consistent, regular training sessions. Another thing, we paid to become members of this agility club, and that gives us year-round access to the agility field (as long as it doesn't conflict with courses or events obviously)!

Over the winter our enthusiasm for agility ebbed, with a new puppy, conformation and training for her, more time commitments, more expenses etc it seemed like it would just be too much on our plates. But seeing Mady's enthusiasm and "I can't wait until it's MY turn!" attitude at the Sheepiepalooza agility demo fired us up, and again last night, seeing the absolute joy radiate from Mady, it's like a drug!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Yeah! I can feel your enthusiasm. I'm all for agility training even if you never get to the point where you want to compete. Why? Because it's FUN for both you and Mady! It will nurture your relationship with her as you both learn and becoming a team member and partner with your dog is THE MOST FUN THING IN THE WORLD!

Hooray for second chances!

Linda Zimmerman & Hudson-who has 1 agility "leg" from 2 years ago but just trains and has fun in agility class now, Chloe 11-1/2 and retired - who went to many agility classes and had a blast but was never shown at a trial, just at fun matches & Kristy - who has several agility titles but is also retired now at 11-1/2.

Yeah, I was mostly referring to Bailey. They both have to go through obedience anyway before they can start the agility classes, it is part of the requirements for entering an agility class, so we're trying to get started in that, if anyone ever replies to me!
