Matties hot spots

My poor girl is just miserable.

She started antibiotics tonight. She can't take much for skin conditions because of her diabetes incipidus. She's very sensitive too most allergy drugs.

Hopefully she'll get better soon.

Oh the poor girl! I still can't get over how fast they develop. Was she showing signs of being uncomfortable or did you just find them by accident?
On the way home Monday, I noticed she was licking her leg.
Just when I think I have her skin issues under control. :x

They look so irritating. Poor Mattie. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us- I had not seen a "hot spot" before.
Poor Mattie :ghug:

Hopefully she gets rid of these quickly and they don't mess up the delicate balance of her health :hearts:
Poor Mattie, I hope she gets better soon. Did the Vet know why? Was it poison ivy?

Get better soon Mattie
Poor girl, Mattie! When our Chloe began chewing her toes recently (allergies)
our vet gave us a topical spray that seemed to really help calm down the red, irritated skin. You might want to check with your vet to see if it would be indicated for Mattie - it is called Comfort Spray for Dogs and Cats and is described on the label as an anti itch topical anesthetic spray complimented with oatmeal and omega-6 fatty acids. I did check and found it available online. We don't seem to have trouble with hot spots here in So. California, thank goodness. I think it is too dry - they seem to be more prevalent in locations both hot and moist. While we are hot, it's seldom moist. Good luck helping her get better.

Poor thing...that looks nasty. Does she have to wear the cone?
Poor Mattie, it was so quick! Hope she feels better soon. What did the vet think of her feather bling??
We didn't have to see the vet, he was kind enough to call us in an antibiotic.
