Subject: Sheepiepalooza – Auction and Sheepie $$$

The auction will be on Saturday at the picnic.

When you get to the picnic please bring any items for donation to the auction tables. Most items will be placed in the Silent Auction. You must fill out a bid sheet to be placed with your item. These will be at the tables. Bidding on the Silent Auction items will run from before lunch at noon until the end of the Oral Auction.

Some items will be selected for the Oral Auction. If the Oral Auction is not running too long we may grab a few items off of the Silent Auction table and start that bidding from the last written bid.

Please remember that what you bid is helping Tarheel OES Rescue. Think of your bid as a donation and not so much as a purchase. Therefore paying $25 for a $2 rubber OES ducky makes perfect sense. Don’t you think? This could get ugly if certain people (you know who you are Val) try to outbid an innocent bidder (that would be me) just for sport!

You can increase your spending power with SHEEPIE BUCKS!!!!

Starting at 11:00 while we are setting up for the picnic – we will be playing Sheepie Bingo. You can play for $1 a card. Every bingo card has two wild card squares featuring OES activities. Those squares can appear in any column and will be drawn just like any random number. We wanted to honor this amazing working breed in our game. If you get S-H-EE-P-IE (or bingo) then you win Sheepie Bucks to be used at either auction. The Sheepie Bucks will be half of that round’s pot. So if thirty people play then you win $15 in Sheepie Bucks.

Sheepie Bucks can be used to pay for up to half of your purchase. If you buy an item for $20 then you can use $10 Sheepie Bucks towards the purchase.

Sheepie Bucks should add to the fun of bidding for the owners.

If you win a round of bingo then your dog wins a dog biscuit.

As a bonus if a “wild card” is drawn then any dog that participates in that activity would get a biscuit. It will be a nice way for us to see how active this breed is.

I don't win in Bingo ... :(

But, d/t the Wild Card part, I won't have to feed Chewie that day, right??? LOL

Sounds fun!!
Very fun!!! Great idea :-)
That sounds like so much fun!! Such a shame not everyone can come :(
As for buying your auction winnings; is it cash only, or can we use checks or credit/debit cards?
You can use checks but we are just a few people who make up a play group putting this thing on. We don't have merchant capabilities. So cash or checks only.
Sounds like fun!

I love playing bingo, especially SHEEPIE bingo!

Tomorrow I'll go to the bank and get some ones.
Sounds fun! I love Bingo--Sheepie Bingo sounds even better! :D
Sheepie bingo sounds fun! :)

AHHHHH---HEMMMMM......................Miss Judi.....That comment about our lively competitive streak, was a little one sided..don't cha think?????? I find myself being the innocent victim of '''some''' people's need to hike the price up just for the sake of...wellllll...getting more money????? But...that couldn't be you...could it???

And FYI...that lovely sheepieducky was a steal at...now, I can't remember what you paid for it...........

OH...Well... ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AN SHEEPIE AUCTIONS.....RIGHT??? lollololol
O.K. Dawn, if you see this, I request that you be my proxy bidder at the
Sheepiepalooza auction. You now have up to $25 to spend, (if you are willing to put up the money in advance for me) and I'll repay you asap. After all, it is for a good cause :) and I so want to feel like I am part of the group even though I can't be there in person.

Use your judgement. Maybe you'll find a treasure for me? Hopefully something that will not cost more to ship to California than the item itself  You know many of my interests ... conformation, obedience, rally, agility, herding, nose work and rescue. Size: XL

Everyone travel safely and have A GREAT TIME!

We used to run a Bingo for a no-kill shelter. I think Sheepie Bingo sounds like a lot more fun.

Wish we could be there but sometimes life gets in the way of our fun.

OK, I see it! :high5:
Yep, I will bid on something I think you would like. This will be more fun than bidding just on something for me
Now I get to bid more often....look out folks!

PS - have fun and good luck this weekend, sounds like a fun mix for you and Hudson :D
