My first dog was "Jake". Since everyone knew Jake by name and since Joan walked him most of the time so she was known (although more people knew Jake's name than hers), I often wondered when I walked him if the neighbors thought of us as "Jake and the fat man".  They probably never did. But I thought it all the time. |
