Evo to much protein for an OES diet?

When we first got Edward he was on the Nutro chicken and lamb diet. After my boyfriend did some research he decided to switch his food. So at 8 months old he started on the EVO chicken and turkey. Edward is now a year and has always had tummy problems. We assumed it was due to his ability to consume anything on the ground. Today while dropping off edward at his school, the nutritionist made me aware that he was on the wrong diet. That Evo is too high in protein and that he will develop too quickly (causing joint and issues with his hip). She sounded very concerned. Because I'm naive at all of this, I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks so much! Edward's mom.

As a general rule, you only have to worry about that with giant breed dogs. Great dane, saint bernards, newfoundlands, wolfhunds, etc
Okay thanks so much. I was wondering how this relates to OES dogs.
It could be too rich for his tummy.
All dogs are different with what digestively they do best on, so you may need to try something in between.
Ramsey was on Orijen, it was too high in protein for him, he always had runny stools, switched him to Fromm and never looked back!!
Cuatro, who is 2, and Augie, who is 1 both do well on Evo. I rotate the turkey, beef, and salmon. I thought about changing when Evo sold to one of the more larger producers, but haven't had any problems, so I guess I'll stick with it.
