Equalizer

I am very proud of Dexter, how he recognized that Winston is a puppy and turned it down a little. Even with that Winston yelps once in a while when they play though he always comes right back. Dexter is often the one that ends play by walking away to a neutral area.

We were in the backyard this evening, the boys were having a great time together when Dex decided it was time for a break so turned and walked away. Winston wasn't finished. He saw the opportunity wit Dex's rear end, lunged up and sunk his teeth in the most tender part of Dex's body! I have never heard Dexter yelp like that or move so fast to get away from the pain! No lash-back but Winston stared for a couple seconds then decided a hasty retreat was called for. They made up pretty quickly but Dex hasn't turned his back on him since.

12 pounds can get the best of 80 pounds anytime, if he's willing to fight dirty.

Yep. We are in that phase RIGHT NOW. And have been for a few weeks. Even dogs (who belong to our friends) are cracking down on Bond...no more pesty puppy tolerance!
Sometimes when we say "Easy, Dex, he's just a baby" Dex looks at us as if to say "Have you been watching what this little demon is doing?"

Dex is still a puppy, too so sometimes gets a little too rough. He also puts him on his back regularly to remind him of his place in the pack. Not that any of it leaves a lasting impression.

Hello from Texas here.

By any chance, do you live around WU in Houston?

We've seen very young puppy around my daughter's school?
It was from the car, so I'm not sure about black patches.
We are in North Texas, just west of Fort Worth.

But still in TX :)

That's a pity, we are looking for a company :)

(may be second puppy next year......)
We will be in Houston in July for the Reliant Show and maybe in June on business (wife on business, I am evening entertainment). Maybe we can get together in June?

I recommend coming to the show, there should be 20+ OES there. It is July 18-22 at Reliant Park.
