Skiddish

So everything is going great, jack has been making leaps and bounds. Walking on a leash wonderfully now. Playing with my fiance, doing great about relaxing in the house. There is just one thing, he is sooo skiddish! Hes pretty fine with meeting most new people in the house, acting like a normal sheepie. if i take him out in public its not that way. When people walk by he either hits the deck or trys to run behind me. He wont take treats from strangers, hes just to scared. Even if they are thrown in his direction. Once he went up and sheepie greeted a woman and i praised him like it was the best thing in the world.

Heres what i have been doing when hes skiddish. I dont let people touch him because he doesnt want them too. I dont want to push him. I talk to them and tell them about his situation. Of course before they know, they want to pet him...he is a sheepie! I talk to them and then they go on there way, jack and i go on ours.

Is there anything else i can do to help him along and make him feel more
comfortable with new situations?
