Sheepdog Puppy vs. Ferret

Our ferret Jack is a serious thief. He especially loves small stuffed animals, shoes, really anything he can drag and stash somewhere. So when we brought Ava home, he was thrilled, because he thought the toys were "community property". Meaning that they belong to him.

We got some hilarious video of Ava and Jack playing tug of war with her frog stuffie. He nipped her on the nose when she got too rough for him, and you'd have thought he killed her

Thank you that has just made my day! So cute and so funny :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
OMG.....that is so cute!!!!! Made me laugh when Ava put her paw on it and said "this is MINE!!!" (okay, she didn't say it, but that's totally what she meant) Funny video....will be fun to see how the relationship changes as Ava grows.
OMG, that is hilarious!!

Those 2 are really going to have a lot of fun. I know Bond and Chewie would love a Jack!
That was awesome!!!!!!!!
I showed it to Todd - he liked it too - and mentioned it looks like a great way to get your dusting done under the bookshelves....
Like he ever dusts???
I LOVEEEE your animals. Love how they match (color/hair/fur) and I think I'm more shocked that the ferret hasn't been crushed with those paws yet. Jack certainly wasn't going to give up. What's his ...is his apparently .......even if it wasn't originally "his."
Not all ferrets are thiefs, but it's not uncommon. And yes, Jacks philosophy is much like a 2 year olds: If it's yours, it's mine. If it's mine, it's mine. If it is anyone elses, it's MINE.
roz i am still lol that was so funny i needed a good laugh thanks ! i see she is getting use to the collar
That is absolutely hilarious! I also showed it to my hubby and we couldn't stop laughing.

I don't know who I feel more sorry for, Ava, because she is outwitted, or Jack, because he is soon to be much smaller than his nemesis!! :D

   made my day!
That was brilliant! You must have so much fun at your house!
That was so cute and funny!

That was awesome! I've never seen a ferret with a dog before, and a sheepie puppy so adorable! :clappurple: :clappurple: Jack looked like an eel hiding in the coral when he was under the bookshelf. It will be neat to see how their relationship develops as Ava gets MUCH bigger!
Bailey was very upset when Ava cried - that mean Jack!

Cute video.
Every ferret I've met is just an elongated pack rat.......everything is theirs to be stored in dark, inaccessible locations. Once you find their hidey-hole, easy to find missing items!
But, but, but ferrett teeth are very pointy and sharp and Mr Jack hung on, a fave ferrett tactic. 8O

So cute, I never thought of putting a ferrett, a cat and a sheepie together but they looked to be getting on great. Well the cat was smart enough to stay out of the disagreement.

That was so hilarious, thank you for starting my day!! Charm had serious issues with Ava crying too. She stood upright beside my chair and kept nudging the laptop.

Please send more antics of your pets. How does the cat feel about Ava?
The little black and white kitten in the video is Saatchi. Ava and Saatchi.... well - Ava thinks she's a chew toy. But Saatchi refuses to do anything to remove herself from the situation. There are plenty of places for the cat to go where she'd be out of Ava's reach, but she literally hangs out on the floor and twitches her tail so that Ava will come grab it and pull. I've had to separate them when it got too rough. We're working on that. We must learn "Leave It" pronto.

As for Jack and his pointy teeth - I assure you he has NOTHING on Ava's chompers. He just has better aim. We're having to work with Ava on not grabbing him by the scruff and toting him around the house. He hates that. A lot.
All your animals are seriously cute. Thanks for sharing.
Adorable!
Way too cute! I haven't had a chance to watch this yet ...I am so glad I took the time tonight! Too too cute!! :clappurple:

I'll see if I can catch her at it. It's hard, because I'm trying to discourage it, so she drops him as soon as she sees me. Maybe I'll arm one of my kids with the camera. She doesn't seem to think they're as big of a meanie head about it as I am.
First time I got to see this, that was funny.
I made my husband come in and watch that. They are so cute playing together. Who does the toy belong to? Do they just share it? I love that she carries Jack around. Carley used to try that with the cats. They didn't like it either.

Tooo cute.
