EVERYONE is invited to a Concert 17-April-2012
The Syracuse University Brazilian Ensemble, Samba Laranja, is holding their Spring concert tomorrow evening at 8:00 pm Eastern Time. I know there aren't a lot of local folks, BUT - they stream the concert online! If you're up for an evening of Brazilian drumming, singing and dancing, you're welcome to go to this link tomorrow night and watch us: http://vpa.syr.edu/music/live-performances (The stream usually goes live 10-15 minutes before concert time.) I missed it! Mostly because I just saw the post tonight, the night of the concert, and it was already too late.  I wonder if they'll have it available on SU's site somewhere, like an on-demand thing. I sent the link to my son, who is an '04 SU grad, but again - I sent it tonight, the night of the concert. Damn!  |

I enjoyed it for a little while, but then I got dragged away by some other stuff. I like the rhythms but the audio is a little tough to pick up in a performance like this. They need a sound engineer and a big budget!  Thanks for sharing, hope you had a great time! |
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I wish they had a better sound system for the streaming, but I love that they stream at all! We had a blast, and I wish we could have "taken" you outside with us at the end.  |
