Ringcraft in the midlands?

As you all probably know im from wolverhampton in west midlands. I have recently joined the midland oes club and found the next show is 6th may in northampton. I have emailed the lady but am awaiting a reply.
Bloo isnt in full show coat so i dont think i could take part anyway, he is in puppy cut :(

Another thing. We took bloo ringcraft when he was 6 months, he hated it hadnt took him back since...(also i didnt like the people that ran the club) Now bloos older, im thinking about showing as well as agility.
Bloo was supposed to be going in for neutering but moms phone bill had to be paid. The neutering has to wait a little longer, gives me chance to consider showing or neutering?

Does any UK people know any ringcraft classes in the wolverhampton or the wolverhampton area? (no more than 5miles out) Been looking on google, but all the ones listed no longer run. The kennel club are no use, it takes 5 weeks to get any reply! :( Anyone??

Hi Sam

How old is Bloo? As depending on the age will depend whether the puppy cut is okay for the show ring. Have you downloaded or received a schedule to enter Bloo into the show? The entries close quite soon, so you may need to double check and enter him quickly. If you need help to complete the form, do yell as they can at first be daunting. Do you have a kennel name for him and have you changed the ownership from the breeders name into your names?

If you neuter Bloo then sadly you wont be able to show him.

I was going to suggest calling the Kennel Club, but I know at times they can be rather trying or have you looked at the website as most classes are registered online. Have you tried your vets as they will probably have posters up of training classes.

If you cant come to the dog show for whatever reason, you can come along to the fun day which is running after the show - this will be a good way of meeting all sorts of people and getting Bloo interactived with a few OES'. There are some fun classes - resist the sausage for one, mine will all fail at this class! <G>
Thanks,
Bloo is 12 months 3 weeks old. His puppy cu is growing out now, his head is all shaggy. Ive emailed the secretary about the application form, but i havent had a reply..the closing dates soon and i dont know what im doing! :( Do you have to tell them your coming to the fun day after, or can you turn up? Im new to all this..
Ive found 2 ringcraft clubs in my area FINALLY!!! May decide not to neuter bloo after all, as im thinking of showing and studding him. (Not sure though yet as im still at school and have college yet too. That may be future plans. BUT im really interested in the showing part.
Weve done loads of companion shows, waggiest tail etc...
Bloo is kennel club registered yes and its all changed into my name. His kennel club name is Four Witches Chippewa. (The litter were all named after american tribes)
If i dont get a reply soon, ill get mom to phone the moes club to double check, even if i cant show him this time, i really wan to come to the fun show afterwards!! :)

Hi Sam

Bloo would then need to go into Dog - Junior class or Dog - Novice Class (if the show has the Novice class, as some shows do and some dont).

As for entering Bloo - brilliant :D that he is in your name and has a kenel name thats half the battle - do you have this pedigree to hand? As you will need to write the Dam (his mom's kennel name) and his Sires (his dad's kennel name) as well as Bloo's date of birth and other personal information onto the entry form. I have attached the Midland OES webiste page which contains the schedule for the Open Show on 6th May - http://www.midlandoesclub.co.uk/events.html

I would download this and for now enter Bloo as NFC (Not For Competition), as this will give you experince of completing the entry form. Then come along to the dog show see what its all about - grooming, how to move dogs etc.

As for the Fun Day you just turn up and enter Bloo into the many different classes on the day.

Offering your dog for stud is great, however, there are a lot of factors to consider - whats his lineage - does he have champions going back into his pedigree. How is his confirmation - is he long, or short and cobby, what colour are his eyes, how does he move. What will be his hip scoring and then eye testing results be? Its a million and one questions and factors that have to be considered.

But a huge welcome to the world of showing - hopefully you will get the showing bug! :wag:
Hi,

Bloos mom and dads kc names are my signiture :downarrow:
Bloos dad has lots of championships, but mom not so many. Thats another reason to start showing bloo, to get some champions behind him too.

As for the show info. Thanks! ;) Moms going to phone them tomorrow, get few more details. Cant wait for the fun day afterwards. Anyone else going???
Yes I am going

Ahh Okay I wasnt asking who the parents were :D I was just making sure that you had the papers to copy the names onto the entry form. You cant get Champions behind Bloo unless of course you own those dogs. You would need to get CH in front of Bloo's kennel name, which is three CC's. You never know you could be showing at Crufts 2013 with Bloo!

See you on the 6th!
