I give up!

My life has become so hectic. I'm going through so much stress right now it's ridiculous.... so... the hair has to go! I think Ru will feel better trimmed down anyway. He's got a little matted on one side so I'm hoping I can keep about 3" but I'll see how it goes. Hopefully I'll be done by this time next week but it's going to be gradual I think! I feel a bit sad as I love the longer hair but I just can't cope right now :(

It is hair, it will grow back when the rest of life settles down enough for you to manage a full coat. I am feeling this way about my OWN hair right now.
Yep, it really is just hair...it will grow back.
If it's causing stress worrying about keeping up with it, then for sure trim it off!
In fact today or tomorrow Chewie will be getting a trim......;)
Carley got hers cut off a couple of weeks ago. She is getting adjusted again after having long hair all winter. Now I can see how dry her skin is though.

Carley's Mom
Bloo got trimmed few month back. It was his first big cut.
I was sad to see all his long scruffy fur go, but he seems much happier, and i can brush him easier no matts!!
It will grow back and ru will look beautiful!!!
Charm got her puppy cut when she began blowing her coat. We agonized over it for several weeks, and finally decided that, indeed, it is just hair. And you know, I think I like her new look the best :hearts: :hearts:
As you said, you have too much going on ~~ If your groomer can do a puppy cut like Charm's, it is so much easier to groom...if you have to go all the down to a shorter length...no worries...as everyone said...it grows back...

:ghug:
I have no groomer  It's just me & the scissors

Me too!

Chewie got it yesterday - cut a couple inches off!

Messy ponytail...sorry! I didn't redo it from yesterday...and Bond is rough on it!
Awww!! Chewie looks great! I'm halfway there with Ru, I'm going down to 3 inches. Should be finished by the end of tomorrow hopefully. I was too ashamed to walk him last night so he woke me up at 4am for a walk :twitch:

LOL - I bet he had to go! :D
Oh well, at least at 4am no one will be looking at your 1/2 trimmed dog!

I can't wait to see Ru with little hair...he will look cute, I bet, he's such a sweet boy. :hearts:

How is your scissors (and your hand) holding up?
Actually I think Ru looks a little like Chewie :D I'm hoping for a break in the rain tomorrow so I can take him cycling & have a washing/ grooming session and take proper pics :D
Can't wait to see the new Ru!!! :D
You did better than me! I have just taken Archie down to two fingers depth due to his hatred of me attempting to comb out his matts and his love of all things wet and river like!

If he would stand still and let me get a decent photo I'll post one!

He actually feels hotter now his fluff is short.

It took me six days to get the daft lad almost done, the big tutu 2/3rds of the way through is just plain cruel.

My fingers suffered I kept taking chunks out of my left index finger.

Be warned though puddytatts at 500 yards have no where to run to now!
I post these to Pauline & Colin :). Only joking. I have clippers if ever wanted to borrow some
both Jack and MO are in their summer "clothes" and both are much happier. Plus with older dogs, they aren't carrying around the extra weight.
