What I did today

I starred as Miss Playboy Bunny 1948 :yay: (Okay I'm joking) .....I mean I wasn't born then.
Although I did dress like this on Thursday where I work with high risk youth (except I that day I had on a huge bulbous nose....ummm BIGGER than even my natural one!

I made a gazillion animal balloons today and proceeds went to Small Animal Rescue, Kaj was my lovely assistant.

Happy Easter Everyone!

You know that clowns freak me out...but these are pretty cute pictures!!
Good job, and looks like it was a really nice day to be out working for a good cause :)

I'm with Dawn, don't like most clowns but you look mighty cute and not threatening. Hope you did well for animal rescue.
I sold over 160 balloons in the hour and half that I was here - (charging 1$ a balloon) so it went pretty well. Luckily Kaj came with me as my arms get really tired pumping that many balloons. Small Animal Rescue also sold Easter goodies and refreshments and the Winnery was nice to host the event and invite the rescue.

I used to do this professionally for 17 years, 200 shows a year (whew!) but had to stop several years ago as I ended up having lung surgery (yikes) and lost 60% of my lung capacity. I'm still super hyper and now joke when people comment on my non stop life...can you imagine how I'd still bounce off walls if I had a 100%! * Most pros powder their faces to set the makeup so it doesn't run and unbeknownst to me at the time the powder accumulated on my lungs so that they look like stained glass on X-rays.

Still, while I had to give it up I occasionally still don the costume and 'light makeup" for special events. Like the time I offered to go into the dunk tank for the annual SPCA event. Hard to tell but it was pouring rain and myself and the other guest (a BC Lion football player) and I were the special guest. It was pouring so he left and I manned up and still offered to do it.
I miss wearing the full makeup- pink face, red checks and dot on nose, and big white googlie eyes...and being small really helped as kids always thought I was one of them - (I'm only 5 in clown years). But like I said, I had to retire the character but still do it for animal or youth organziations.

This is one of my fav pics of Gilligan and I taken after the event.
