so disapointed

Just heard from my breeder. Dog can't come tomorrow because apparently there was going to be dry ice on the plane. She's supposed to come Monday late. Kids are devestated. So am I. WTH.

What has that got to do with anything?

I'm sooooooooooooooooo sorry. I could kinda tell you were a "little" excited.
Well, we can't have her freezing on the flight! :?

Too bad it falls on Friday, making you have to wait the whole weekend.
So sorry! :( Was she coming on a commercial flight? Seems odd--Dry Ice being a problem but I guess safety first. Maybe it would be too cold in cargo...

So disappointing for you--darn!
dry ice, carbon dioxide.....less oxygen
I think it is really great that your breeder is aware of and thinking about the risks. I know it will be hard to miss your new pup this weekend but I'm actually pretty impressed that she checked on this. Or perhaps the airline notified her. Whatever. It is much better to be safe and not take chances. You will have so many happy years ahead that these few more days of waiting you won't even remember.
I'm glad it was caught too Val, it's just hard. I had specifically wanted her to come this weekend, because the entire household is off work and school for the Easter holidays.

Breaking the news to my husband that she wasn't going to be coming in today was not pleasant. The kids took it remarkably well, but are sulking. I just feel .... impatient and anxious.

At least the breeder said she'd mollify me with some new photos of her. :)
Do share...

Sorry for y our disappointment.
I feel you dissapointment but also glad either the breeder or airline realized the danger of having pup in cargo with dry Ice may have or was seen as dangerous and they had pup's best interest at heart.

Hang in there!
We had weather delays when Emma and Darby were scheduled to fly... lots of emotional ups and downs.
But... you're going to have your little sweetheart or stinker ( ) for years to come! A few more days
learning the lessons of life with mom and any other littermates is often a bonus that can never be
regained later on.

Still... I know it sucks!

:ghug:
bummer but will give u more time to sleep
where is she coming from? If everyone is off maybe a little road trip would be fun. :cheer:
Lol, she's in Florida, we are in new Mexico. A loooooooooong way! Otherwise I would so be driving there now.
Aw sorry. Where in florida?
