Brush out for Kenny at day care

So we got him a bath and brush and they didn't realize how long it would take to brush him. 2 hours later they said we need to pay more next time :P :P :P :P

That happens every time I go to a new place. The always under estimate.
When I thought the bill was too low, I'd give a big tip and say, "next time plan for more time." I used to have a great groomer who'd do 2 sheepdogs at a time. Only time she mentioned something was when I had her do Fox Great Pyr. She had not done a Pyr before, plus he kept pulling over the grooming table. Once was enough for both of them.
Yeah we gave them a nice tip. Honestly though, it's not our fault...they should be asking the questions up front haha.
Either you or they should have brushed him out prior to the bath. That would make brushing out afterwords go much quicker. I was amazed the first time we did this with Caitlyn and paid attention to the clock.

Good suggestion. WE never brushed him out prior but i could see the advantages!
This is how we were taught to groom; brush, bath, dry, brush and then trim if needed.

I've always brushed Brick out before I brought him to the groomers.
I never wanted to stick them with the work that I should be doing right along.
Yeah, appreciate the advice all. First dog is always a learning experience haha
You always want to brush them out before bathing. If you don't do it, the groomer has to do it & they charge you more for doing so. And if they don't do it before, it takes them longer to do it afterwards because the knots & mats tighten up as they dry.
As a groomer i brush, note all the bad bits, shampoo, condition, while conditioner is doing its stuff i do my bit and detangle the matts, thats if its warm enough, then rinse, dry brush again.
There is not getting around it bathing ant sheepdog that isnt getting shaved down short.. its going to be a big job!
When i bath billy its wet, whiten for 10 mins repeat so another 10 mins then condition for 10 mins rinse. Dry myself because i am as wet as him!
And that's when a change of clothes would come in handy, huh Marilyn...
