Pepsi and Rags are 8! And Pepsi started lifting his leg

:bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake: :bdcake:
Pepsi turned 8 on the birthday we chose for him, Feb 2nd, which was two months after his adoption date and Rags on Feb 23rd, her actual b-date.
I am sad that they are all grown up, even lazier couch potatoes now that they were.
They do still run and go nuts in the yard, just not as much and for shorter amounts of time.

Pepsi still looks like a puppy and just hit a milestone, he has been lifting his leg to urinate lately, something he has never done his whole life, even living with leg lifters. Rags (Female) and Lacey(Female), our Terrier, both lift their legs to pee. LOL

I don't know if I should be proud of him, or not.... Not sure why he decided it was time to start lifting his leg at 8 years old, but I also didn't expect it to be 8 years before his eye liner completely filled in around his eyes.

Pepsi has a puppy like demeanor still, just a sweet, lovable, guy :wag:
Rags on the other hand has always acted like a grumpy bitch since the day we got her at close to 2 years old.
She looks so much older than Pepsi too, long stretches before she gets off the couch. Grunts a lot when she sits down, just acts like an old grumpy lady. She also attacks the other dogs. Lately, it's been happening more and more with no triggers. On her birthday she ended the day by going after Lacey. :(
Then today, food trigger, Pepsi was eating a treat, she wanted it and went all crazy on him and had him pinned on the ground and wouldn't allow him up. Only recently has Pepsi started to bite back at her. So she wasn't able to bite him around the neck like she was trying to do. It look about 30 seconds, which felt like an eternity to call her off of him.
We live with her because she is family.... :? And we do love her, she can be a sweetheart too. :aww:
But she is freaking nuts, but lovable at the same time.
I can't believe they are 8 already! It feels like yesterday when Pepsi was 10 months old and I was 7 months Pregnant getting him out of the Shelter. With Rags, who we have had for 6 years, it feels like an eternity!

I assume you've had Rags' thyroid checked. Grumpiness might be low thyroid.

As I typed that I though, "I ought to have MOs checked as well" as she growls more than ever and has gotten snappy at grooming. I know she hurts and is protecting herself, but I need to rule out this other thing.
Happy Birthday Pepsi and Rags!! :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2: :bdcake2:
